Strange, but Cool, Batman Memorabilia Spotted in Romania!!

I have a friend on MySpace named Gary & one of the neat things about him is that he lives in Romania. I mean, come on! How cool is that?! He is also a big Batman Fan & he sent us these fun photos to share. These are some giant-sized Batman-Themed Flower Pots he recently bought. They each have very cool graphics of Batman, Robin, The Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, & even The Penguin! He said he bought them at a flea market so I'm not quite sure if they're production-made, or home-made, but either way they're really really awesome! Thanks Gary, Please stay in touch! BATMAN DESKTOP BACKGROUND WALLPAPERS With Kevin Nowlan Comic Book Art

All good citizens know that the Bat-Blog features a few free Batman-related Desktop Wallpapers every Wednesday, it's called "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday", ha ha! This morning I was kind of surprised to find these in my e-mail box. They were made by good friend named Andrew who likes to goof around with graphics. I say that because this image was originally posted on this blog as a simple black & white pencil sketch of original Batman comic book art done by Kevin Nowlan. He took the drawing &, using his awesome super-powers, he transformed the image into the 2 beautiful backgrounds you see here! The coloring jobs here are extremely well done. One is sort of simple with a minimal single-color background & the other one has a photo-realistic approach with a picture of a city skyline. They're both so good I can't decide which one I like better, ha ha! Thank you Andrew for making these & sending them in. I know everybody will really like them.

Using some of the new promo art for BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD I made these 3 Batman Wallpapers You can use as a background in a MySpace layout or just to brighten your PC desktop ( 1024 X 768 size ). The new TV show premieres on November 14th ( Friday ) on the Cartoon Network. You might check your local listings for the exact time because it was originally set at 7:30pm but rumors now say it was pushed to 8:00pm.

She carved "I Love Batman" on the side & the great thing is she used the vintage 1970's style logo...I love it! Jessica, you did a great job on this & thanks for sending the cool pic! The photo of this super-excellent Jack O'Lantern design was so BIG I decided to make it a Desktop Wallpaper you can use as a background in a MySpace layout or just to decorate your computer's desktop for the holidays...BATTY HALLOWEEN!! FREE BATMAN DESKTOP BACKGROUNDS Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

This week we present 2 brand-new BATMAN DESKTOP WALLPAPER BACKGROUNDS. The first one was sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Andrew. He, like most of us, is a huge fan of the 1980's comic book artwork of Norm Breyfogle. So, he took some of Breyfogle's black & white inked art then colorized it. I think he did an incredible job coloring it. It features 3 Bat-Villains: Catwoman, The Penguin, & Joker! ( Thank you Andrew for sending this in ). The next one has a "Golden Age Batman" theme. It's vintage 1940's artwork by Bob Kane. OK, We all know this was probably drawn by Bill Finger or somebody else, ha ha. But, the art is still awesome!

BATMAN POP ART PIN-UPS "Wacky WALLPAPER Wednesday"

We post totally brand-new & unique Batman-Themed Desktop Wallpapers here at the Bat-Blog every single Wednesday. We call it "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday™", ha ha! OK, I know the name is dumb but it's kinda catchy & people remember it easily! This week I thought I would go with a "Pop Art Pin-Up" theme. The 1st one is a re-colored wallpaper of an original painting I did a few years ago. It's an image of Batman kissing a girl. Recently I was goofing around on the internet & saw a device on a blog that showed their recent visitors ( shown below ). It featured people's avatars & their logistic locations. There was a guy from Australia who had used my artwork has his avatar. It was a total shock for me to see this! There's a theory that says "once an image is on the web that it exists forever" because people take it & put it someplace else, then somebody else gets it, & so on...WOW! This was pretty funny for me to see my own artwork, ha ha! OK, sorry to go off, back to the wallpapers. The 2nd & 3rd backgrounds are a black & white publicity photograph of Yvonne Craig as a super-cute "Pin-Up Girlie" model. Of course we all know her as Barbara Gordon / Batgirl from the 1966 Batman TV Show. People have different desktop set-ups so I thought I would make 2 of her, please choose whichever is better for you.

THE JOKER : Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds From Readers

I guess I need to apologize for the lack of posts recently but the last few days I have been sicker than a dog! I have barely been able to get outta bed, ha ha! Today is the 1st day I have felt "ok" so I thought I would get a few things on here while I have a chance. Now, one of my favorite things about doing this blog is how awesome most of the readers are. I swear I'm not trying to suck-up, ha ha. But seriously, you guys send me some great stuff & I appreciate that! Here's the perfect example: Posted above are 3 Batman-Themed Desktop Wallpapers sent in by Bat-Blog Readers. Actually, they are JOKER-related, ha ha! The 1st one shows The Joker ( lookin' extremely crazy ) wearing a straight-jacket in Arkham Asylum. It was done by a friend named Bacon who's a regular contributor. His stuff is always awesome! ( Thanks Bacon, you rock, Sir ). The next 2 were done by a friend named "Moth", his real name is Pete, and they're really cool too! They are Joker Wallpaper Backgrounds made with many different images of Joker, sort of a collage. All the images are hand-picked & very high-quality...good job! ( Thanks Pete for sending these, I appreciate that ). In fact I was just thinking that the 2 collage wallpapers would be really awesome for a MySpace page!

Baby Batman To The Rescue!

"Who's the cutest little Batman in all the world? You are! Yes, You are!", ha ha! The Bat-Blog has a MySpace page that we use for promotional purposes. I call it my "propaganda"! While surfing there the other day I came across this photo of an adorable little kid dressed like Batman. It's one of those small child-size Halloween Costumes that are kinda neat. I knew instantly that I had to contact the person who owned that page & beg them if I could post it here. He's a cute kid & seeing him dressed up like Batman is kinda funny! They were extremely cool about it & said, "Yes, please do". So, here's a photo of the cutest kid to ever dress-up as the Dark Knight...Baby Batman! BATMAN FAN? Join The Bat-Blog at MySpace!!

The Bat-Blog has a MySpace page we use to help promote the Bat-Blog. It's a great way to keep in contact with readers & find new ones. At that page people send me a lot of funny Batman pictures. Here are 2 recent examples: The 1st one is a "Behind The Scenes" photo, which I really love, showing the film crew filming the classic "Exploding Shark" scene from the classic 1960's Batman Movie. I can hear Adam West saying, "Quick Robin, Bring me the Shark-Repellent Spray!", ha ha! If you look closely you can see the guy holding the bottom of the fake shark, pretty funny! Oh I'm sorry, this was a real shark, yeah, not fake. The next photo is sort of like a comic strip but done with pictures from the Dark Knight Batman movie. It's making fun of the "Joker Interrogation" scene...I love the expression on Heath Ledger's face in the last panel like he's thinking, "Yeah, right!", hilarious!

BATMAN HUMOR: Funny Photos and Hilarious Comic Strip

Here are some really funny Batman photos! The 1st one is a parody picture that I have seen on MySpace a lot. It's about how Batman deals with the death of his parents. The 2nd one is a comic strip about the 1989 Batman Movie submitted by a Bat-Blog reader. You might have to click on it to be large enough to read, pretty funny! The last one is another popular MySpace Joke Photo of a cat dressed up like The Joker ( Heath Ledger, The Dark Knight ) with the phrase "Y SO SRYS?" ( Why So Serious? )...enjoy!

THE DARK KNIGHT DESKTOP WALLPAPERS!! Batman Movie Posters

Ever since I saw that scene, at the end of BATMAN BEGINS, where Jim Gordon hands a Joker Playing Card ( in a police evidence bag ) over to Batman & Batman replies, "I'll check into it" we have known that the next movie was gonna have The Joker! For awhile there was wild speculation as to which actor would be this character. Then we all heard the name "Heath Ledger". To be honest, at first, I thought it was a weird choice. But, I put my trust in Christopher Nolan's decision & look what has happened. All the news reports & reviews are saying that Ledger's performance is easily Oscar worthy. That he plays the Joker with incredible skill. Well, I'm really excited about that & tonight, after waiting almost 2 years, some friends & I are gonna go to a special midnight showing! I'm totally excited & really looking forward to this film. OK, sorry to go on & on. Let's get to the reason of this post. I thought, to celebrate the movie, I would post 2 DARK KNIGHT Desktop Background Wallpapers! The 1st one is a montage of a few different Batman TDK Movie Posters. This one was created & sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Levi. I think it looks really cool, thanks Levi & GOOD JOB! I made the 2nd one & it's the classic scene with the Bat-Pod motorcycle crashing though the window of a Gotham City building. I hope you enjoy both of these!

THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Theme DESKTOP WALLPAPERS

Since this is opening weekend for The Dark Knight Batman Movie I though I would post a few TDK-Themed Desktop Wallpapers. These backgrounds should work great in a MySpace layout or just to decorate your PC desktop. The 1st one shows the Dark Knight standing all majestic in front of Gotham City.
