Well, at this year's 2011 Comic Con a few lucky people got to see the new DC Universe Animated Movie BATMAN: YEAR ONE. The reviews have been decent so that's cool. I guess the rest of us will have to wait for the DVD or Blu-Ray & Digital Download ( Oct 18th ).

Warner Bros created a website for their next DC UNIVERSE DVD Movie, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. It's online now but really doesn't have any content yet. NEW BATMAN STATUE - YEAR ONE Maquette ( DVD Movie )

DC Direct just announced a brand-new BATMAN Statue that will be coming out later this year. It's a Maquette Figure based on the BATMAN: YEAR ONE character from the DC Universe Animated Original Movie DVD. Oh man, it's beautiful! I like the retro-style. It was sculpted by DEREK MILLER. This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain Maquette-Statue of BATMAN will be released on September 27th, 2011. It will measure about 9.8" high x 7.75" wide x 5" deep. Also, it's a Limited Edition. VIDEO - Sneak Peek of BATMAN: YEAR ONE, New DC Universe Animated Film

In this promo, finally, we get to see some of the ideas about the next DC Universe Animated Film, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Of course it's an adaptation of Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli's classic Graphic Novel. The Animation Team seems to really want to be true to the original source. In this sneak peek we get introduced to many of the Voice Actors, many are excellent choices. I just wish we could see more "cartoon clips" of the actual DVD product, but this is a teaser so I guess we'll have to wait.

Well, apparently this is what the DVD cover art for the BATMAN: YEAR ONE - DC Universe Animated Movie is going to look like. It's a great image that I think would make an awesome poster. Video - BATMAN MOVEMENT Animation Test by 3D Artists

Here's a pretty cool video I came across the other night which shows CGI Modeling and texturing by 3D Artist Carles Gonzalez. Rigging and animated by Miguel Ángel Rubio Recio. The figure looks great but the cool thing is the actual movement of the figure. Batman starts out "walking", then a light sprint, and then some serious running action. All along the way the body seems very natural & the lighting is well done. Carles and Miguel live in Barcelona, Spain.

Here's a random video I found the other day of a Musician's Electric Guitar Solo of the theme music to THE BATMAN TV Show ( 2004 - 2008 ). He does a really great job of giving us the intro to the animated cartoon. Check It Out!

Video - Batman and Robin in The Janus Factor

Here's an interesting Fan-Made BATMAN CGI Animation Video I found on YouTube from a user named "MarvelZombie2099" and it's his personal homage to Gotham City. He created some really nice Batman and Robin 3-D models and later decided to make an animation starring the Dynamic Duo. His goal was to create a Silver Age Batman story that focused on crime fighting and action without the modern Dark Knight angst. The characters look pretty good & I totally love the Batmobile car! As usual, with Batman, the Villains steal the show!

The New LOONEY TUNES SHOW - Daffy Duck as The Dark Knight!

A friend caught this image off his TV while watching a commercial for the brand-new LOONEY TUNES SHOW. Yes, they're bringing back Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Tweety, & all the Gang! Now this is an image of Daffy Duck as Batman... COOL!! The new show is going to air on the Cartoon Network on Tuesday, May 3rd at 8:00pm/7c.

FIRST LOOK at BATMAN YEAR ONE - DC UNIVERSE Animated Film Images

Finally! DC Universe is finally starting to release some images from their next animated film, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Of course we're talking about the animation-version of the famous Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli Graphic Novel by the same name. Today, The Hollywood Reporter got some EXCLUSIVE images from the movie. We also get a list of the voice actors: Bryan Cranston ( AMC's Breaking Bad ) is playing Jim Gordon, Ben McKenzie is Bruce Wayne / Batman, Eliza Dushku is Selina Kyle / Catwoman, and Katee Sackhoff is Detective Sarah Essen.

Batman must find a way to turn Superman back to his old self because he is going to need all the help he can get when Lex Luthor unleashes his latest scheme on Metropolis. Now, the cool thing about this episode is that the Art Direction gives the characters a wonderful "Retro 1950's" look! NEW BATMAN BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK Boys and Girls! It's Wednesday, so you know what that means... Wacky Wallpapers!! This 1st one is totally amazing! It's a beautiful retro-style image of BATMAN created by Graphic Artist Chris Franchi. Actually, it's the "top half" of a poster he's working on. The image is an homage to the work of 2 major Batman Comic Book Artists from the past, Carmine Infantino and Dick Sprang. I love the use of the benday dots & the very slightly off-register color. It looks like an enlarged photo of a comics page... COOL! The next Wallpaper is a detail shot of an original Animation Cel from the BATMAN BEYOND Animated Series. I've always loved this TV show & hope others will like this too. ( A Special Thanks goes out to Chris Franchi for sharing his artwork, it's great! )

NEW BATMAN BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, I'm in a very strange mood today so I thought I would post some really weird Batman Wallpaper Backgrounds, ha! The 1st one uses graphics from the BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD TV cartoon. It shows the Dark Knight in an alternative universe ( Remember, I said, "weird" ). The next one shows an image taken from a Vintage 1960's Batman Comic Book from Japan. The way they drew his face so realistically is sort of unusual. But it's a great image & I love the Japanese lettering in the lower-right corner: Bat-Manga!! So, how are these? Anybody like them?
