A Bat-Blog Fan named Joe was kind enough the other day to send some wonderful photos of his recent BATMAN and JOKER Tattoos & they're AWESOME! Just check out the pics. The 1st image is his Joker and Batman Tattoo that looks like a Playing Card. The coloring looks great & the image is sharp, nice! The 2nd one is on his back. Check out this extremely cool BATMAN Birthday Cake!! These photos were sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Scott. This awesome cake was for his son Noah, who just turned 13 ( Happy Birthday Noah! ) The cake has two levels. The bottom has graphics around it that looks like the skyline of Gotham City. The 2nd level features comic book "word balloons" with phrases like, "Pow!, Zing!, Boom!", and my favorite, "Holy Teenager Batman!". Then, on the top of the cake, there is a really great Batmobile!! Yes, this cake is a total Art Masterpiece. I wonder if Noah ate that car or kept it, ha! Thanks to both Scott & Noah for sharing their pics.
OK, This is sort of a random thing to do but these pics are way too cool not to post. So, here we go! here's some old vintage photos I found from the history of the 1966 BATMAN TV Show that I have never seen before. The 1st one is a "behind the scenes" shot of Yvonne Craig looking super-cute in her skin-tight Batgirl Costume during the filming of the TV Series. The next one is the World Premiere of the BATMAN Movie at the Paramount Theater. It's cool that the pic is in color & I love all the old cars.

Check out this ultra-cool set of photos sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Ramon. He got some BATMAN AND JOKER Tattoo Art done on himself that was totally inspired by the comic book artwork of Jim Lee. It's done in a simple color palette of "just black", which is kinda cool because it looks like an original comic book art sketch. The Joker looks completely insane in this picture, just as he should be, ha! I want to send a special thanks to Ramon for sending us these wonderful photos, thanks man! You might remember a story here at the Bat-Blog we did on Jay Weatherby's Custom Batmobile. Our friend BatDave sort of met him by accident one day in New Jersey & then got to ride in the Batmobile! He later sent us some great pics of this replica car. Well, a few days later I got these photos from our friend Stu. He & his family had a cool party & hired Jay for the event. OK, I've been sort of a slacker lately about publishing the BATMAN TATTOO ART photos & I really don't have an excuse except that I wanted to sort of chill with them a little bit. But lately we got a few sent in by some Bat-Blog Fans & they're so GREAT that I know we had to post them. The 1st one features the JOKER pointing a gun in your face, POW! This belongs to our friend Michael who said he was mainly inspired by Jack Nicholson's performance in the 1989 Batman movie. The artwork looks like something from the Batman: The Animated Series cartoon, how awesome is that?! The next one belongs to our friend James who got a modern-day BAT-SYMBOL LOGO on his chest. OUCH! That must have hurt, ha! But it looks pretty cool so I guess the pain was worth it. Speaking of pain...The last pic shows the largest tattoo in the bunch. It's JOKER standing in the entrance of Arkham Asylum. This one belongs to a guy named Tom & he shared the fact that this JOKER was inspired by the recent video game. OK, the main stream press has been having a hay day with these pics so I thought I would wait to post them. Then, I could pick out the best pictures, ha! Warner Bros is doing a remake of the classic 80's film ARTHUR. You remember, it starred Dudley Moore, Liza Minnelli, & John Gielgud. I loved that movie, it was really great! Let's hope the remake is just as good. Anyway, the new film stars Russel Brand & Luiz Guzman. They're shown here dressed-up as Batman and Robin ( The Batmobile car from BATMAN FOREVER will also make an appearance ). The costumes are sort of over the top & I like that special Bat-Belt! I mean, it has everything a shallow spoiled billionaire could need, ha!

I recently met this very nice guy on Facebook & he shared the fact that he is getting some tattoo ink work done as a tribute to his favorite Batman Villain, The Joker. He was kind enough to send us some photos & I have to say that they're very impressive. Now, I forgot to ask, but I think they are in their early stages & will probably be colored. But even if they're not they are both pretty cool just like they are. Oh yeah, there are 2 of them. One of them is on his right arm, a nice portrait of Joker's face. The other one is sort of large & is under his neck! The "Neck Tattoo" is an interesting concept because when he raises his head you can see a Joker smile. The artwork is inspired by the cover art to the recent JOKER Graphic Novel with original art by Lee Bermejo ( written by Brian Azzarello ). You know the one I'm talking about, but I'm posting a photo of it as a reminder or for people unfamiliar with it. But most people should know it because it's starting to become a very iconic image. As a side note, it's a great read too. Now, back to the tattoo. The artwork so far has been done by Nate Laird at INK DADDYS in Salem, OR. I'm assuming that if it's colored it will be the same guy. This artist's work is very high quality. These JOKER Tattoos are very cool & I wanna thank Jessie for sharing some of his personal photos with us. There's a pretty cool art show event-thing going on at the BEAR & BIRD BOUTIQUE + GALLERY in Lauderhill, Florida that a lot of Bat-Blog readers might like to see. In fact, the show ends on July 31st so, you have until the end of this month to see it. It has a "Love of Vintage Toys" theme & a few pieces are even Batman-related. Basically, it's a group show with many artists contributing artwork & photography that is inspired by cherished toys from their childhood. They all pay homage to different action figure toy lines: You have Mego's Batman, Kenner's Star Wars, Mattel's He-Man Master of The Universe, Lego Characters, & much much more! A lot of the artwork is really amazing! Here in this post we feature the 2 Batman-inspired ones. The 1st one was done by the curator of the show & it's actually an original comic book ad for the Magnetic Batman figure by Mego, framed. She also displays the actual figure right above it...cool! The next one is an acrylic painting of a Batman String Puppet flopping around. It was masterfully done by Lora Zombie. There are too many artists & pieces of art to mention here but the flyer ( last photo ) shows all of their names. Plus, at the end of this post is a really really great video of the Art Gallery Installation & you can see all the artwork very well. Yes, the release date for BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD movie just keeps getting closer & closer ( July 27th, I'm really excited! ) so I thought I would post a few new pictures from the film. The 1st pic with Batman & The Joker is my favorite but the one with Robin, The Boy Wonder, is pretty cool too. OK, the one with batman in the Batmobile is pretty awesome. Wait, ALL these pictures are wonderful...there you go! Now remember, after everybody sees this new animated movie I want to hear from you & know what you think about it.
