People who have been reading the Bat-Blog for awhile might enjoy this, I hope, ha! But I was recently interviewed by a fellow Blogger & Batman Fan, named Jon, who writes the awesome RANDOM ACTS OF GEEKERY website. At his site he wrote some profiles of "Comic Book Related" Bloggers called "The Way of The Geek". I was # 6 in the series. Wow! It was really an honor to be included in this group of Writers. I know some of them, so that's kinda cool. Basically, Jon sent me a ton of questions to answer & I answered them. Then, he edited the content. I really didn't know how it was going to come out but now, after seeing the finished product, Jon did a great job with it. So, if you would like to know a little bit more about the guy who writes this crazy Bat-Blog then please be sure to just click HERE! Oh yeah, while you're there please be sure to also check out Jon's website. I know you'll like his blog, it's really good & there's a ton of neat stuff there! OK, now I know most of my posts cover recent Batman News or talks about Vintage Bat-Toy Collecting or Brand-New Merchandise, stuff like that...but this is a personal message I need to get out to a few readers: If I have not responded to your emails then I apologize! The truth is, for the last month or so, I have been having some major issues with my ability to receive/send emails that I get through this blog. Now I have always, religiously, answered every single message I have ever got over the last 4 years of doing this site. Well, maybe 98% of them, ha! But it's something I seriously try to do. I really appreciate each & everyone. So, if you have sent emails recently with the feeling that I disregarded them, I apologize. Look, I'm working on the problem, it will be fixed, & everything will hopefully go back to normal very soon. In the mean time, please be patient. Thank You. Oh yeah, Please keep sending messages & I will respond when I can. ( One last thing - Just in case somebody is wondering, the above graphic is a photo of an Andy Warhol Pop Art Painting that I thought would be cool ).
Check out this amazing Batman Birthday Cake. It's sort of a "Batman Movie" version of the character but still pretty fun. I'm posting it as a gift to every Bat-Blog Reader who has a birthday in December... I hope you like it. Oh yeah, one last thing, Happy Bat-Day!
One of the things about the BAT-BLOG that I'm pretty proud about is the amount of people who submit material to this site. That really means a lot to me. Plus, It says that they like my page & are also serious about being a Batman Fan. Here's a recent example: This is a fun BATMAN AND SUPERMAN Wallpaper Background for you guys to enjoy. It was made by a Bat-Blog Fan named Sam. He drew this with a simple PAINT program, so that kind of explains why it is kind of crudely done. But I really like the "primitive look" of it...very cool! It makes an excellent desktop image. In fact, it's on my desktop right now, ha! I want to thank Sam for sending this in & I also want to invite all Bat-Blog Readers to please submit materials you think would be cool for the site. Mainly, just let us know about any brand-new pieces of Batman Merchandise you might come across in your retail store hunt. Sharing the joy & fun of collecting BATMAN is the main focus of the Bat-Blog.Com!
OK Boys & Girls!! Today is the day we announce the lucky winner of the "1978 Reimagined Mego" Fantasy Catalog! OK, I guess I sort of feel like I owe Bat-Blog Fans & Readers a small apology. I have not been able to obsessively do a few posts every single day recently, like I have been for over 3 years. The main problem was because of a major hail storm we experienced here where I live, in Oklahoma. One day we had a sudden blast of baseball-sized hail surge from the sky. It broke out my truck's windshield, completely totaled my girlfriend's car, & heavily damaged our home's roof & garage. It was total hell...a complete nightmare! As a side note: the storm also damaged cable lines coming to the house & we had no internet service for about 5 or 6 days. I finally got that back on & then, yesterday, we had a major flash flood ( 11" where I live ) & I had to spend all day moving plastic buckets around inside the house to catch water coming in. Once a leak was under control another new one would develop...good times, good times. Anyways, I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses or that I'm a crybaby, ha ha, but I have been pretty busy lately. In over 3 years of doing the BAT-BLOG I have NEVER gone this many days without posting. So, for that I apologize. Just to be clear, the attached photo is of a Custom Bat-Boat seen at Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma & has noting to do with our flooding crisis yesterday. I just thought it was funny ( Thanks to Leslie for sending the picture ).

OK, right off the bat I gotta say, "I'm sorry for the delay!" I was going to list the lucky winner of the recent Bat-Blog Contest last night but I feel asleep & slept for almost 10 hours, seriously! YES Boys & Girls! It's time again for a World Famous Bat-Blog Contest where this time the prize we're giving away is an incredible BATMAN BUST Statue from the HEROES OF THE DC UNIVERSE Collection ( it's the 2nd piece to the series )! Oh man, it's so beautiful! Seriously, when I opened the box I was kind of shocked by how nice this thing actually is ( photos don't do it justice ). The details are really insane. You can see "wrinkles" in Batman's Bat-Suit Costume that look very realistic. The base of the statue is meant to look like Gotham City's Dark Knight is perched on a rooftop, near a Gargoyle, & that part looks like it is actually stone & brick material. This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain bust measures approximately 6" high x 3 1/4" wide x 4 1/2" deep and is packaged in a 4-color box. Overall, the whole thing is very highly detailed. Batman is holding his Bat-a-rang & it looks very real too. The rope is actually a very thick wire & looks kinda neat. Also, the paint job on this baby is really great... the colors are extremely accurate! I could go on & on about how wonderful it is but if you win you'll see. Now, how to enter.
