I love when Bat-Blog Fans share their personal stories & this one is kinda fun. This is a picture of a "New Adventures of Batman" Quarter Ride that Mike & his Son spotted on vacation at an Outlet Plaza in Rohoboth Beach, Delaware. Mike's son has always been a very big fan of "New Adventures of Batman" and this was an extremely cool thing for him to see. It's also pretty RARE. I think out of all the different Batman character-related vending machines this one is the most obscure. You just never see it anymore! ( Thanks Mike )
Awhile back, right here on the Bat-Blog, we featured some amazing artwork by an Artist named Christopher Franchi. He did this piece that combined a classic iconic image of Batman and Robin, by Carmine Infantino, & he recreated it in the drawing style of Golden Age Comic Book Artist Dick Sprang. I mean, if you're familiar with both of these Artists you can see the combination and it's an extremely awesome image. Well, Chris got it licensed by DC Comics & now it's a Limited Edition Fine Art Print ( only 75 will be made, so, very limited ). It's pretty BIG, measuring about 24" X 36" and is printed on a sturdy, high quality, card stock. It is also signed by the Artist. Check out this amazing Collection of BATMAN TOYS!! Here are just a few photos of our good friend Seth's BAT-CAVE Room! Now, because of space limitations I can only post a few pics but please be sure to check them all out. I know that if you do you will be drooling for days, ha! I mean, there's some really great stuff here: Action Figures, Hot Wheels, PEZ, Masks, Toys, Blankets, Statues, Vinyl Figures, Nodders, Corgi Die-Cast Cars, Toothbrush Holders, Dolls, Puzzles, Puppets, & even Batman Band-Aids! WOW! The list could go on & on forever!
I love how everything is displayed & it's so cool that they're able to use an entire room for the collection. My only worry is that they will probably have to buy a bigger house someday, ha! But all kidding aside I do wanna thank Seth for sharing his BATMAN Toy Collection with all of us. It's great to see a bunch of cool Bat-items all together and this BAT-CAVE room is totally AWESOME! Now, there were way too many pics to share in one post & I will be posting more in the near future, so everybody please keep an eye out for those.
I thought I would experiment with a new idea of, each week, posting a cool Batman item I come across on eBay, that is still for sale. Now, this is NOT an invitation for eBay Slaves to spam me with what they're selling, ha! ( That's not gonna happen! ) I'll just find something fun & post it on my own. This item is pretty cool. Here's a Framed Color Photo of Batman and Robin from the Classic 1960's TV Series. It's signed by both Actors from the BATMAN TV Show, Adam West & Burt Ward. Our friend BatDave hit the recent 2011 Philadelphia Comic Con & guess who he saw? Batgirl, Robin, & the Joker! He also got a great photo of Harley Quinn, which we have made into a BATMAN Desktop Wallpaper, look for that one tomorrow ( Wednesday at the Bat-Blog is ALWAYS "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! )
Oh yeah! It's that time again, time to share some BATMAN WALLPAPERS you can use to decorate your computer's desktop. That is, if you're cool enough, ha! Now, the 1st one is pretty simple, it's just a really nice sharp color photo of the most beautiful car in the entire world, George Barris' 1966 BATMAN TV Show Batmobile! Make this your personal wallpaper & I guarantee you will drool for days. Then, next-up, is this unusual image of Batman and Robin fighting Two-Face. I just thought it was a cool graphic because it's from the Golden Age of Comic Books, nice! Remember, please be sure to share these backgrounds with all your friends. The Bat-Blog totally digs creativity, in any form, and here's a GREAT example! Here are some photos from a Fan who likes to create Custom Batman Toys. He takes Hasbro MIGHTY MUGGS Figures & repaints them. Now, for Non-Toy-Collector-People out there who don't know, Hasbro has the license to make Marvel Comics Superhero Characters & Mattel does DC Comics. So, since Mighty Muggs are made by Hasbro then they will NEVER do any BATMAN Figures. So, for the people who want them your only choice is to... customize them!Our Friend Ryan has done an extremely excellent job on his Customs. First up is Robin & he looks great! He has also done Bane, Clayface, Batman, & Azrael. Please check out the photos because they are AWESOME!! The Bane & Clayface are my 2 top favorites, then Robin. Over at the "Golden Age Comic Book Stories" Website a Blogger scanned a few 1940's BATMAN SUNDAYS from the New York Sunday Mirror Tab Sections. They're all from 1946. The Artwork is by Jack Burnley, among others. They are all a total joy to read & the vintage graphics are completely beautiful. MEET BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER, LIVE IN PERSON! The Actors from the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Show, Adam West and Burt Ward, will be at this years Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con 2011. The event starts tomorrow, Friday, June 17th & runs the whole weekend. So, if you live near that area then you need to drop by & say, "Howdy!". The convention will also have a ton of Comic Book Artists, who over the years, have worked on a BATMAN title. The list includes: Mike Grell, Carlos Pacheco, Doug “Dougie” Braithwaite, Arthur Suydam, J.G. Jones, Ethan Van Sciver, and Shane Davis. For more info then click HERE!
