After doing a post here recently about the "I Believe in Harvey Dent" Dark Knight movie viral marketing video of "Rachel Dawes endorsing Harvey Dent for DA of Gotham City" I received an e-mail from some loser ( yeah, I said loser ) who wrote on and on and on about how ugly Maggie Gyllenhaal is & how she is not as pretty as Katie Holmes, etc...Well, I guess that guy has never seen these photos! Now, I always respect the opinions of people who have different ones than I do. Hey, it's called FREEDOM. But, readers, this guy was a total jerk who's opinion was just plain moronic. He said stuff like "Katie used to be married to Mel Gibson before marrying Tom Cruise", ha ha. Stupid dis-information crap like that. At first I thought it was a joke but this idiot was serious, ha ha! And that's an opinion I don't respect, one that's totally based on stupidity. Maggie Gyllenhaal might not fit the Barbie-Doll mold of beauty but she's independent, extremely smart, hard working, nice, funny, etc...and to me that's sexy. Whew, sorry to vent. I'm gonna lay down now & calm down.
Our friend Dave sent us this extremely silly "Batman & Robin" comic strip that was scanned from an old newspaper. When looking at it I wonder if Robin is checking out the air fresheners or that sexy pin-up girlie, ha ha! Our friend Kevin sent us some really great Batman-related photos he wanted to share & they're all quite good. He wrote, "Here are some misc pictures: A couple of Batman birthday cakes from many years ago, a picture of my son’s room from about 8 years ago, & some commissioned artwork with my kids in it from artist Craig Rousseau." Wow Kevin! I was kinda surprised by the quality of these pix, they're awesome! Everybody knows I love the "Batman birthday cakes", ha ha, but your son's room looks great with all the Batman memorabilia. I especially like the framed art print of Batman Beyond & that mobile-thing hanging from the ceiling, nice! But the coolest thing is the original drawing by Craig Rousseau of your children. That's extremely well-done & it must be a favorite family picture of your kids, that's awesome. Thanks again for sharing these wonderful photos, I appreciate that.

A lot of things in a campaign look differently from the inside. Take the current media wildfire. Now, there's not a shred of evidence linking Harvey Dent to any questionable behavior. But the media is creating such a ruckus that from the outside, it's impossible to see anything else.
Well, I can tell all of you that the Dent campaign is still going strong. We're still committed to bringing Harvey Dent's message of change to every corner of this city.
Harvey Dent is not letting the smear campaign impact our campaign. He's continuing to do what a candidate does -- and he's continuing to lead the charge against the corruption that's destroying our city.
So rest assured -- this campaign is not over. Indeed, it has hardly begun. We WILL take Gotham back.

Harvey Dent realizes that the slanderous and untrue charges trumped up by a mysterious group never seen before in Gotham politics has distracted from the real issues facing Gotham - how to make our city safe again and fight the crime and corruption that is endangering our future. I Believe In Harvey Dent will hold a press conference on Sunday, April 13th at 3:00 pm (EDT) for an important announcement regarding the campaign. The audio of this event will be streamed live on this website.
CLARIFICATION: The Gotham Machinists Union has not "withdrawn their endorsement" of Harvey Dent for DA. Their spokesmen clarified that the endorsement has merely been "suspended" for the time being. The Harvey Dent campaign looks forward to the continued support of the Gotham Machinists Union.
DONUT SUPPLIER NEEDED: The Harvey Dent campaign lives and breathes off its volunteer crew. Hundreds of Gotham citizens have joined the campaign to change our city. But this week, our donut donor stopped donating donuts to us. Tonight I got a very interesting e-mail from a Bat-Blog reader named Fernando. He works for a magazine called "Aventura Americana" & recently they covered a Comic Book Art Exhibition being held at the Florida Jewish Museum of Miami Beach. It's simply called: "The Golden Age of Comic Books 1938 - 1950". The exhibit runs from Oct 16th, 2007 to the end of this month, April 30th, 2008 so there is still some time for readers who live in that area to check it out! The exhibition features original artwork of Batman, including Detective Comics #67, #69 and #71 original covers. Also there are covers of “All Star Comics”, “Action Comics”, “Green Hornet”, “The Spirit" and "Action Comics" among others. Over 70 works & artifacts from the Golden Age of comic books are on display. They showcase the work of 15 comic book artists & writers from this era, including Joe Shuster & Jerry Siegel who created Superman & Bob Kane and Bill Finger who created Batman. The exhibition is curated by Jerry Robinson, who created the Joker & named the boy wonder, Robin. This sounds like an incredible event to see! ( Thank you Fernando for sending this information ). OK, I'll probably do another posting later today but right now I'm way too busy so I thought that since it's Wednesday & that's the day we post 2 new Batman Wallpapers that I would post 3 to make up for a lack of posting early this morning. So, here we go! The 1st one is one I made last night using the graphic art for the cover to the soon-to-be-released "All-Star Batman & Robin, The Boy Wonder" comic book. Whew, that comic has the longest title in history, ha! The 2nd background is one created by our friend "Bacon" who does some most excellent graphic art designs. It's a basic Bat-Symbol Logo but done with an industrial grunge look...sweet! The 3rd one is also a Bat-Blog Reader contribution ( Bat-Blog Readers Rule! ). This was was made by "Pastor" & it's an elegant Bat-Symbol logo done in shades of black & white...nice! I hope you guys like some of these, you better, ha ha!
Oh my god!! These are the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my whole life, ha ha!! In 2008, in Canada ( arrrggghhh! ) the PEZ Candy Company will be releasing a set of 4 Batman Pez Candy Dispensers!! The set of four includes: Batman, The Joker, The Riddler, and Two-Face! They're gonna sell them in both poly-bags & as carded dispensers. ( I prefer the cards ). Near the bottom is a photo of the display box which is pretty sweet too! I'm a rabid Batman Toy Collector who also collects PEZ so these are totally driving me crazy...they WILL be MINE!
