Check out this extremely cool BATMAN Birthday Cake!! These photos were sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Scott. This awesome cake was for his son Noah, who just turned 13 ( Happy Birthday Noah! ) The cake has two levels. The bottom has graphics around it that looks like the skyline of Gotham City. The 2nd level features comic book "word balloons" with phrases like, "Pow!, Zing!, Boom!", and my favorite, "Holy Teenager Batman!". Then, on the top of the cake, there is a really great Batmobile!! Yes, this cake is a total Art Masterpiece. I wonder if Noah ate that car or kept it, ha! Thanks to both Scott & Noah for sharing their pics.
I have some friends over on MySpace called Wicket Toys. Their real names are Jon & Andrea and their hobby is to photograph & share their cool toy collection. They mainly seem to focus on the HOT TOYS Figures but they love a ton of other collectibles too. They recently sent me these pics of their Batman Toy Collection ( click on it for a larger version ). The top one features their HOT TOYS figures from THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie. I really want that TWO-FACE doll & the ones of the JOKER are really great too. OK, they're ALL super-awesome! The bottom pic shows some of their Action Figures & Vehicles. If you look, you can also see a few toys from the recent TERMINATOR movies, & Hey! Is that NEO from the Matrix?! Holy Purr-fection, Batman! Catwoman herself, Hollywood icon, actress, and author Julie Newmar, will join us in person as the Paley Center presents this exclusive preview of Julie Newmar: A Life in Motion, a world premiere photographic exhibition at the David W. Streets Fine Art and Photography Gallery in Beverly Hills, featuring the performer as captured by Bert Stern, John Engstead, and Bernard of Hollywood, among others. At the Paley Center event, Ms. Newmar will introduce a special screening of the Biography special, Julie Newmar: The Cat's Meow, and be on hand for a sneak preview of select imagery from the exhibit in the Paley Center's Bell Family Gallery. Julie Newmar: A Life in Motion, will remain on view at the Paley Center until December 6, while the main exhibit is running concurrently at the David W. Streets Gallery. Here's a really nice set of photos sent in by our friend Jessica. This is her "Bat-Cat" named CURI. I bet you noticed that awesome Batman Bat-Symbol Logo Pet Tag, right? She explains, "When the Dark Knight movie was first released in theaters, PetSmart had a limited edition dog tag. It engraved your information, or pet's information, in gold on the back and was tres chic with the bat symbol on the front." Yeah, I gotta agree with her that it is pretty cool. Back then, a few months ago, I went to a ton of stores trying to find this tag. Finally did & bought the very last one. A few weeks later our dog was stolen & this Bat-Tag actually was the main purpose for the phone call we got from the "PET LOST" wanted poster that got her back. So, for me, personally seeing this tag again is really nice. I mean, it saved my dog's life! But that's a whole other story I plan to share later. Right now I wanna thank Jessica for sharing these super-cute pics, Curi looks like an awesome cat, & I appreciate you taking the time to send them!! This post is just a simple "image dump" where each picture is pretty self-explanatory. They are all totally funny in their own way but I guess the 1st one needs a little explaining. My good friend Dave was recently traveling through Oklahoma when all of a sudden he's like, "Oh My God! Stop the car! We gotta get a photo of this funny mailbox for Tommy's Bat-Blog!!". Ya'see Dave & a buddy were driving around near Stillwater, OK when all of a sudden they saw this mailbox for BAT MAN. Actually, at one time, it was for "BATEMAN", but the "E" fell off, ha ha ha! ( Thanks Dave for sending the wacky photo, I love it! ). Oh yeah, the comic strip FULL FRONTAL NERDITY is kinda small here but if you click on it you can see a larger, more readable, version...please do so because it's pretty funny! Plus, you might wanna visit that cartoonist's website because most of his stuff is just really great.
HA HA HA HA! OK, Here's the deal, the other day I open my e-mail & received a few really great photos from a loyal Bat-Blog reader who wanted to share these funny pics. The 1st one is a real-life Batman product that was made during the "Batman Returns movie era". It's a Halloween Costume for a little kid in the shape of "Batman riding in the Batmobile"! I mean, the Batmobile Car is attached & when the child wears the suit it gives the illusion he's driving the car, ha ha ha! I don't have this in my personal collection & will have to find one, it's surreal! The next graphic is a newspaper comic strip that features Bruce Wayne's First Batmobile ( get it? Ha Ha! ). Thank you Billy for sending these hilarious photos, I appreciate that. I wanna invite all our readers to send us stuff like this. Sharing the "Joy of Batman" is what the Bat-Blog is all about! ( As a side note I would like to say that Billy sent us some more wonderful pics that I'll share in the future so keep an eye out for those too ).
Here's a new photo of TWO-FACE that is being circulated all over the internet &, for right now, nobody knows if it's official ( leaked by Warner Bros ) or just a fan-made photoshopped pic but it does look extremely cool! If Aaron Eckhart ends up looking like this in the new DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie then it's gonna be very very scary! What do you think? Do you think it's real or fake? Leave a comment down below.
OK, I just realized I haven't posted a Batman Birthday Cake photo lately so here ya go! This one was sent in by Lisa, a reader from Chicago, who says her husband loved his cake. Ha Ha, we love it too, thanks for sending us the picture! It's really cool. I mean, it's an ART Masterpiece, very well done! We wanna ask ALL our loyal Bat-Blog readers who have had a Batman-themed Cake or party recently to send us a photo...we love 'em!
Recently, while surfing through MySpace I came across this photo of a HUGE Batman Tattoo. It looks like a photo taken right after the tattoo work was done because it's a little red around the artwork. Oh man, this thing is HUGE & must have hurt real bad, ha ha! It also must have taken forever to do because it's one of the biggest ones I have ever seen. Now, that's dedication to The Dark Knight! I contacted the guy to ask if I could post this pic & he was gracious enough to say, "Hell Yeah!" So, thank you, the tattoo looks cool dude.

Ya know, the Bat-Blog has been covering a lot of the news & tributes to Heath Ledger's death that it's been kinda depressing so I thought I would try to brighten everyone's mood with some humor photos. ( I don't mean any disrespect to Heath ). Here's a photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader who collects pictures of custom cars. He loves the Batmobile cars & when he sees some funny ones he saves them. He sent us these..."YYYEEE HHAAAWW! I DONE MADE ME A BATMOBILE, Bang Bang Bang!"
