Warner Bros has released details for the upcoming "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" Season One, Part One DVD Box Set. This 1st season includes the first 13 episodes of the TV show and is due to be released around August 17th & will have a retail price of $19.99. In this 2-Disc Collection, the Dark Knight allies with Aquaman, Plastic Man, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Wildcat, Deadman, Bronze Tiger and Atom to take on an array of evildoers ranging from mad scientists to intergalactic crooks, from power-mad dictators to out-of-control teenagers. He even travels to a parallel world, becoming the villainous Owlman! In this cool, cutting-edge and often funny series bringing back old-school comic-book styling and dry wit to crime fighting, Batman faces any peril - including other heroes stealing the show - in his relentless pursuit of justice. OK, Here's a list of all the Promo Deals the Retail Stores are having to promote sales of their DVD of JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTH. The 3 I'm covering are the major outlets: Best Buy, Amazon, & Target. I checked the Walmart website & they didn't list anything so if they do something please let me know. There might also be other promotional items out there with other stores. I have tried to compile this information the best I can so if it's not totally accurate then it's not my fault, ha! Alright, here we go! Most of the stores on this list have a Free Exclusive if you buy the DVD 2-Disc Set or the Blu-Ray Copy only. Looks like you don't get anything if you buy the regular DVD movie. Best Buy has an Exclusive 3" Figure of OWLMAN ( yeah, you read that right, 3 inches. But it does look kinda cool though ). Amazon gives you a Free Lithograph Poster with a graphic from the animated film ( No Batman shown ). The movies you buy at Target have a special "Extra Short of The SPECTRE" that sounds pretty cool! But, at the Amazon website they show that they have it too ( I think Target sells a lot of stuff through Amazon, like they are partners or something ). If I get any more information on any new promotional items then I'll be sure to post them here. So, stay tuned with the Bat-Blog!
Later this year Warner Bros will be releasing a special collector's issue of "Batman: The Complete Animated Series" on DVD. It will include all four seasons plus extras (16 discs) in special packaging along with new bonus material exclusive to this set. Right now it's in the very very preliminary stages so there's not much news on both retail cost or exact release date. But you know we will report it as soon as we find out so stay tuned.
Here's a brand-new promo ad that shows what the DVD packaging for the animated tie-in "Batman: Gotham Knight" is gonna look like. There are gonna be 2 different covers for the 3 separate editions. There's the single-disc DVD, the 2-disc DVD Special Edition, & the Blu-Ray DVD version. I seriously can't wait till these hit the stores because I love Japanese anime & this animated movie looks like it's gonna ROCK! If you look at some of our previous posts here at the Bat-Blog we have the trailer up & a few promo pics!
Last night at 11:00 PM we accepted the last entries to Bat-Blog's latest contest. Then, at midnight, we pulled the numbers from the hat & we're proud to announce the 2 winners! First, we would like to thank everyone who entered. We received a ton of entries & this was one of our most successful contests by far. The 2 winners are Erik Martinez from San Francisco, Ca. & Zdravko Genov from Bulgaria! Once we get an address confirmation from them they will each be mailed a brand-new copy of this amazing animated movie. ( Winners, check your e-mail boxes for instructions ). For everybody else we're sorry you didn't win but there's always next time! Speaking of "next time", be sure to keep checking out the Bat-Blog for our very next contest that will be happening soon. You're gonna really love the next prize we give away so please stay tuned!
This post is just a friendly reminder that the Bat-Blog FREE "Justice League: The New Frontier" DVD Contest will end in about 5 days on March 15th, 2008. I want to add that we have some very good news. Because of the success of this promotion I have been given not one, but TWO, DVDs to give away!! So, The rules are basically the same, but we will be picking TWO WINNERS instead of one! This actually gives you a better chance to win so if you have not entered then click the ENTER button below for details...Good Luck!!
Remember, you saw it here first! This is the 1st look at the soon-to-be-released BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT Anime Batman Film by Warner Bros. For people living under a rock & have not heard of this DC UNIVERSE Animated Movie it will come out as a DVD just before the DARK KNIGHT Motion Picture is released in Summer 2008. It's gonna feature state-of-the-art animation done by some of the most major Japanese Anime artists & directors. The story will bridge the gap between the 2 Batman movies: Batman Begins & The Dark Knight. New information, featured in this video, will be that the villians in the story will be Deadshot, Scarecrow, & Killer Croc...kick ass!
