Well, at this year's 2011 Comic Con a few lucky people got to see the new DC Universe Animated Movie BATMAN: YEAR ONE. The reviews have been decent so that's cool. I guess the rest of us will have to wait for the DVD or Blu-Ray & Digital Download ( Oct 18th ).
Warner Bros created a website for their next DC UNIVERSE DVD Movie, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. It's online now but really doesn't have any content yet. So, to celebrate I created this BATMAN YEAR ONE Wallpaper background, enjoy. The movie has a Release Date of October 18th, 2011 so something should be happening there soon, just click HERE!
YES, FINALLY! Warner Brother has released this MTV Exclusive Promo Movie Trailer for the next DC UNIVERSE Animated Film DVD, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Take a look & let me know what YOU think. I like it & think it's gonna be cool! Well, I hope so, ha!
DC Direct just announced a brand-new BATMAN Statue that will be coming out later this year. It's a Maquette Figure based on the BATMAN: YEAR ONE character from the DC Universe Animated Original Movie DVD. Oh man, it's beautiful! I like the retro-style. It was sculpted by DEREK MILLER. This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain Maquette-Statue of BATMAN will be released on September 27th, 2011. It will measure about 9.8" high x 7.75" wide x 5" deep. Also, it's a Limited Edition. In this promo, finally, we get to see some of the ideas about the next DC Universe Animated Film, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Of course it's an adaptation of Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli's classic Graphic Novel. The Animation Team seems to really want to be true to the original source. In this sneak peek we get introduced to many of the Voice Actors, many are excellent choices. I just wish we could see more "cartoon clips" of the actual DVD product, but this is a teaser so I guess we'll have to wait.
Well, apparently this is what the DVD cover art for the BATMAN: YEAR ONE - DC Universe Animated Movie is going to look like. It's a great image that I think would make an awesome poster. The projected release date for this film is September 27th, 2011. But that could easily change so please be sure to stay tuned to the Bat-Blog for later info.
In a brief interview with MTV Bruce Timm talks about BATMAN YEAR ONE , the next DC UNIVERSE Animated Movie! He talks about how loyal the film will be to the original Graphic Novel by Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli.
Finally! DC Universe is finally starting to release some images from their next animated film, BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Of course we're talking about the animation-version of the famous Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli Graphic Novel by the same name. Today, The Hollywood Reporter got some EXCLUSIVE images from the movie. We also get a list of the voice actors: Bryan Cranston ( AMC's Breaking Bad ) is playing Jim Gordon, Ben McKenzie is Bruce Wayne / Batman, Eliza Dushku is Selina Kyle / Catwoman, and Katee Sackhoff is Detective Sarah Essen.
We Want The BATGIRL : YEAR ONE Animated DC Universe Movie! Here is a LINK to a petition that will be directed towards Warner Home Video, Inc. to rethink their decision to cancel the development and production of Batgirl: Year One. In a recent interview Bruce Timm stated something to the effect of, "We were developing and hoping to get started on a 'Batgirl' film based on 'Year One,' but because of 'Wonder Woman’s' slow sales start, that won’t be happening now." So, we're asking all Bat-Blog Readers, especially Batgirl Fans, to please click HERE & sign the petition.
While surfing the web the other day I came across a blog by Chris Flick. He's a very talented cartoonist, caricaturist, illustrator, & web designer. His work can be found at http://www.csfgraphics.com. As serious Batman Fans we all know about the classic comic book graphic novel BATMAN : YEAR ONE By Frank Miller. Basically it's all about the 1st year that Bruce Wayne was trying to become Batman. The main focus of the story was the development of his relationship with James Gordon & the creation of some of his crime fighting "tools" like the Batmobile, Bat-Belt, Costume, etc...Well, knowing about that book is what makes this cartoon so hilarious! The humor, of course, is taking the "Year One" concept but applying it to a "What if? story" about Batman as a little kid in in the 1st grade.....Ha Ha, Funny!
