Seth's BATMAN TOYS AND MEMORABILIA Bat-Cave! Part 1

Check out this amazing Collection of BATMAN TOYS!! Here are just a few photos of our good friend Seth's BAT-CAVE Room! Now, because of space limitations I can only post a few pics but please be sure to check them all out. I know that if you do you will be drooling for days, ha! I mean, there's some really great stuff here: Action Figures, Hot Wheels, PEZ, Masks, Toys, Blankets, Statues, Vinyl Figures, Nodders, Corgi Die-Cast Cars, Toothbrush Holders, Dolls, Puzzles, Puppets, & even Batman Band-Aids! WOW! The list could go on & on forever!



I love how everything is displayed & it's so cool that they're able to use an entire room for the collection. My only worry is that they will probably have to buy a bigger house someday, ha! But all kidding aside I do wanna thank Seth for sharing his BATMAN Toy Collection with all of us. It's great to see a bunch of cool Bat-items all together and this BAT-CAVE room is totally AWESOME! Now, there were way too many pics to share in one post & I will be posting more in the near future, so everybody please keep an eye out for those.

Auction News - Batman Movie Memorabilia at Profiles in History

Next Friday & Saturday, December 17th & 18th, PROFILES IN HISTORY will be holding another of their famous "Hollywood Memorabilia" auctions in Beverly Hills, CA. This time they have some extremely amazing items up on the auction block: Original Puppets by Tim Burton from "The Corpse Bride", a Ton of "Blade Runner" Movie Props, Some items from "Terminator", & even "The Wizard of OZ"! But the best items for us Batman Collectors are some pieces from the "Batman Returns" 1992 movie & even one film-prop model from "The Dark Knight". In the "Returns" list there are many Conceptual Art Drawings, Danny Devito's Penguin Costume Pieces ( Umbrella, Monocle, Cigarette Holder ), & a 1/4 Scale Model of the Batmobile. The car alone is expected to bring $30,000 to $50,000 ( just a tiny bit out of my price range ). The "Dark Knight" item is the Garbage Truck driven by a Joker Goon. Well, not the actual "truck", ha ha!, but an extremely detailed model ( check out the pics ). There are even a few more items to numerous to list. So, here's a link to their website, just click HERE! David's VINTAGE 1970's BATMAN 7-Eleven COMIC CUP Photo

Our friend David sent us some really incredible pictures of a few of his personal family photos that happen to feature Vintage Batman Toys. They have been a total treat to see. I've been posting one every now & then, to sort of spread them out. Plus, I've been trying to add a little bit of research to them. Here's an example. This photo shows David holding his favorite Batman Cup he got at a 7-Eleven store. He said he didn't know the exact date but thought it might be from around 1973 to 1975. Well, the funny thing is our research figured out that these COMIC CUPS were released by 7-Eleven in 1974, ha! Shown just below the 1st photo is a graphic from an original 7-Eleven COMIC CUPS CHECKLIST ©1974. It shows all the cups that were produced with comic book superhero characters from DC Comics. Over all, there were 60 cups to collect ( Approx. 12 of them were "Batman-related" & be sure to click on that pic for a larger version ). I also have a photo, below that, showing a few of the cups. The one that is in David's picture is actually pretty hard to see so maybe one of these references will jog his memory, we'll see. Either way I appreciate David sending us this. David's Vintage 1980's BATMAN GRAPHICS Beach Towel!

Here's another photo sent in by a loyal Bat-Blog Fan named David. It's a wonderful vintage family photo from around 1981 or so. It shows David, then age 13, with his favorite Batman Beach Towel. Oh man, the graphics are so extremely cool & this thing, today, is very very rare! The artwork looks like the classic stuff done by Carmine Infantino. Vintage BATMAN MEMORABILIA From Around The Globe!

OK, it's no secret how I am totally goo-goo over Vintage Batman memorabilia & some of the best items, or at least the hardest ones to find, are from countries outside the United States. Check these out!! The 1st RARE item shown here is a 1966 BATMAN School Writing Tablet from Holland. Yes, it's Dutch! I totally love the graphics on the cover, great stuff! The 2nd pic is a newer item ( 1980's ) & comes all the way from Japan! The Japanese are known for their love of the Caped Crusader so it's no big surprise that they marketed a few pieces of merchandise to capitalize on the 1989 Batman movie craze. This is a Store Display offering Batman Keychains....how cool is that?! The last item is kind of weird but I totally love it. It's a Batman and Robin Candy Box from 1997! This was made in England, or the UK. On the back of each box were some Character Trading Cards you could collect. This one features Mr. Freeze. PHOTOS - Ultra-Rare VINTAGE 1996 BATMAN TOYS & MEMORABILIA!

OK, anybody who has been reading my Bat-blog for longer than 2 weeks has got to know that I am totally crazy for the cool Vintage Batman Toys! To be honest that's the total reason I created this blog. I know we try to cover all the Brand-New Products, Merchandise, & other Batman-Related News but it's the "Vintage Stuff" I'm really goo-goo for! Here's just a small example of some really great "Super-Rare" Memorabilia I have seen lately. The 1st item is a 1960's BATMAN Inflatable Pool Toy. I love both the Retro-Style Graphic & the shape of the thing. You know this would be really cool to hang on the wall for display! The next item is awesome too & beyond super-rare! It belongs to a Good Friend named Saul & he said he's been looking for this thing for many years. It's a Wooden Skateboard with Cool Batman Artwork. It was made by the Mettoy Company in England back in 1966. Yeah, this was only sold in the UK & is ultra-hard-to-find! I mean, it's practically a "Museum-Piece". He said it's one of his favorite pieces in his collection & that really means a lot because he has a TON of incredible bat-stuff from all over the world. The last pic is something that's not as rare but it's still pretty cool. It's an old 45 rpm Record with The Penguin telling a story with Burgess Meredith's actual voice. The graphics on the Record Sleeve are really great stock art drawn by Carmine Infantino & it also has an actual photo from the TV Show, all in one. Whew! John's 1966 BATMAN TV SHOW VINTAGE TOY & MEMORABILIA Collection Photos!

Here at the Bat-Blog we're always looking for Batman Collectors to share fun stuff with. Well, our friend John sent us some amazing pics of his collection the other day & because I have been so busy lately I have not been able to get them up here, until now! So, here they are. This is an extremely cool Batman Toy Collection! John's main focus seems to be on the 1966 Batman TV Series & it looks like he really likes Vintage Model Kits too. Reference Photos: BATMAN TOY COLLECTION in Australia!

I love meeting other Batman Collectors from all over the globe & getting to see what toys they have, it's kinda cool. Well, recently I got an e-mail from a guy who lives in Australia & he collected Bat-Memorabilia from 1989-1997. His name is Darren Maxwell & the photos you see are just a very small part of his entire collection. Now, the thing is, he doesn't collect Batman stuff anymore. I'm guessing he ran out of room in his house & can't buy anymore, ha! I can sort of understand that. Also, I gotta say that I totally stole these pics from his personal website. Vintage BATMAN MEMORBILIA & TOYS From Around The World!

I know that the Bat-Blog has kinda been crazy with the Halloween Holiday lately & we have been neglecting the toy collector aspect of the blog. So, here's a post to make up for it, ha ha! Here's a really nice example of a few pieces of Bat-Memorabilia made in different parts of the world. The 1st example comes from the United Kingdom ( England ) & is the Original Bubble Gum Wax Wrapper for a Set of 1966 Batman Trading Cards. Oh man, I am totally crazy over those vintage-style graphics...awesome! The next item might appear to be French but it's not from France. This is a Batman Board Game from Canada! It was made by Hasbro in 1973. OK, the last 3 pictures are a Set of Japanese Batman Canvas Sneakers. These shoes, of course, are from Japan & came out around 1966. The original shoe box is shown here with the product & it's equally as cool! Again, the graphics are just totally beautiful. Do you live outside the USA?
