THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Video - Hear The Voice of Actor Tom Hardy as BANE!!

SPOILER ALERT!! Check out this video showing some of the filming for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES at Heinz Field. Here's what the guy making the video said, "After Bane [Tom Hardy] blows up the football field when 86 of the Gotham Rogues [Hines Ward] runs to make a touchdown after the kick off [this is what we were told was going on during filming] he comes out to address and strike fear in Gotham City [us]. The raised part you see is whats suppose to be left of the football field. He comes out and pulls the microphone from the dead? Ref [which is just a dummy] on the ground outside the tunnel where he comes out with his thugs and someone he has prisoner. He also drags out some big crazy device that's supposedly the means of our destruction..."

Question About THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie Teaser Trailer

OK, by now each & everyone of us have seen the brand-new Teaser Trailer for the THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman movie, probably more than once. Here's my question. At the end of the trailer we see an image of Batman being confronted by Bane. We really don't get a very good view of Bane but in the background is some guy who standing off in the distance. Does anybody know who this is & is he a major character? Just curious... Oh yeah, you might have to click on the above photo for a larger, sharper, version.

This was a photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Steve. He loves the New BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Action Figures so much that he took this awesome photo of BANE from the series. The lighting is great and you can really see some of the fine details. Oh man, I want this cool toy! Ryan's CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS - Mighty Muggs Madness!

The Bat-Blog totally digs creativity, in any form, and here's a GREAT example! Here are some photos from a Fan who likes to create Custom Batman Toys. He takes Hasbro MIGHTY MUGGS Figures & repaints them. Now, for Non-Toy-Collector-People out there who don't know, Hasbro has the license to make Marvel Comics Superhero Characters & Mattel does DC Comics. So, since Mighty Muggs are made by Hasbro then they will NEVER do any BATMAN Figures. So, for the people who want them your only choice is to... customize them!

Our Friend Ryan has done an extremely excellent job on his Customs. First up is Robin & he looks great! He has also done Bane, Clayface, Batman, & Azrael. Please check out the photos because they are AWESOME!! The Bane & Clayface are my 2 top favorites, then Robin. Which ones do you like?

Scott McMahon's BATMAN INSPIRED Comic Book Art

Here at the Bat-Blog we recently came across a very interesting website called SCOOT SKETCHES! Basically, it's the personal journal of a Graphic Artist named Scott McMahan who is trying to tell adventure stories with fun and colorful characters inspired by his childhood. The main focus is Batman along with many super-villains like Catwoman, Bane, Joker, etc... Scott's art style is sort of like the stuff you would see in Children's books. It's kind of cartoon-like & simple. Wait, I guess a better word would be "minimal". Another interesting thing to notice is his pastel color palette. Overall it's pretty excellent stuff. THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie News - Anne Hathaway Will Be Catwoman!

OK, it's official, Warner Bros just announced that Actress Anne Hathaway will play the role of Selina Kyle in the next Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, and we all know that this person is also Catwoman! They also revealed the Villain character that Actor Tom Hardy will be... it's Bane! Oh man, so many people thought he was going to be Dr. Hugo Strange, ha ha! OK, I'm thinking these are pretty good choices and, just like the last movie, I'm going to trust the Director, Christopher Nolan. I mean, when he announced before the last film that Heath Ledger was going to be the Joker I was sort of skeptical, ha!

BANE BREAKS BATMAN'S BACK - Lego Figure Style!

A friend sent me this picture the other day of a brand-new BATMAN LEGO T-Shirt & it totally cracks me up!! It features a graphic of the iconic moment when Bane broke Batman's back, but the image is done with Lego Toy Figures, ha ha! As we all know, this was part of the KNIGHTFALL storyline that was popular in the Batman comic books around the Spring & Summer of 1993. Remember, the sound of a back breaking is "KRAKT!!"

The Bat-Blog is pretty famous for celebrating creativity, in any form, but this photo is just totally amazing! I actually love old quilts as an American art form. But this modern-day one is just really great! It's titled "ARKHAM ASYLUM". Besides Batman, Robin, & a few versions of Batgirl, we also get to enjoy many images of some major villains: Poison Ivy, Bane, the Penguin, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and many more. New DC UNIVERSE CLASSICS Action Figures & ACTION LEAGUE Mini-Figures From Mattel for 2011

OK Kids, here's some really great photos to totally drool over, ha! While at the 2010 Comic Con the Mattel Toy Company gave a presentation of some upcoming toys they will release later this year & early 2011. This post is about their DC UNIVERSE CLASSICS Action Figures & we're mainly covering the Batman-related characters. As you can see they're gonna make some really great figures for this series. Just to be clear, what is shown here is "WAVE16". Wave 14 is shipping now & Wave 15 will come out in early fall. But back to Wave 16, look at what they have here! We got AZRAEL from the 1993 Knightfall storyline, the Villain BANE looking all buff & mean, The RIDDLER ( looking like he's from the Silver-Age, cool! ), & 2 different versions of Dick Grayson as ROBIN, The Boy Wonder! The Robin figures look the same to me except for the heads. One kind of looks like he's from the 1940's, while the other one reminds me of the 1970's Super Friends. Please tell me, which Robin do you like the best? Alright, now the very last photo is some of the mini-figures from the ACTION LEAGUE series. They're gonna have a ton of these of Superman, Green Lantern, etc...but here are 2 favorites, Batman & The Joker! I really like these, they're pretty cool!

New BATMAN - ARKHAM ASYLUM - Series 2 Action Figures

Well, it's pretty much been announced that with the success of the 1st wave of figures for BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( The Video Game ) DC Direct now plans on coming out with Series 2. That wave will include Batman - Armored, Poison Ivy, Bane, & Zsasz. They will all be approx. 7" tall, multiple points of articulation, & be sure to keep an eye out for them around February 2, 2011.
