Check out this great music video. Well, there really are not any visuals, just a still photo, but the audio is good. This is Burgess Meredith, as the Penguin from the 1966 BATMAN TV Show, singing his "Penguin" song titled "The Capture". Also pictured up above is the original paper sleeve cover for the super-rare 45rpm record. The music is actually pretty decent, WWAACCKK!

This post was created to show a few examples of some beautiful 1966 BATMAN TV Show Theme Song Records from Japan. I love the combination of vintage graphics with Japanese lettering ( I like the 2nd one the best ). Plus, they're really hard to find. Now, after you drool over the pics then please check out the video too. It's the VAPORS singing their hit song, "Turning Japanese". Since I mentioned the band I knew I had to post it, ha ha! I know it's not "Batman-related" but it's a great song & you won't be able to get the tune out of your head all day long, ha!!

PHOTOS - Ultra-Rare VINTAGE 1996 BATMAN TOYS & MEMORABILIA!

OK, anybody who has been reading my Bat-blog for longer than 2 weeks has got to know that I am totally crazy for the cool Vintage Batman Toys! To be honest that's the total reason I created this blog. I know we try to cover all the Brand-New Products, Merchandise, & other Batman-Related News but it's the "Vintage Stuff" I'm really goo-goo for! Here's just a small example of some really great "Super-Rare" Memorabilia I have seen lately. The 1st item is a 1960's BATMAN Inflatable Pool Toy. I love both the Retro-Style Graphic & the shape of the thing. You know this would be really cool to hang on the wall for display! The next item is awesome too & beyond super-rare! It belongs to a Good Friend named Saul & he said he's been looking for this thing for many years. It's a Wooden Skateboard with Cool Batman Artwork. It was made by the Mettoy Company in England back in 1966. Yeah, this was only sold in the UK & is ultra-hard-to-find! I mean, it's practically a "Museum-Piece". He said it's one of his favorite pieces in his collection & that really means a lot because he has a TON of incredible bat-stuff from all over the world. The last pic is something that's not as rare but it's still pretty cool. It's an old 45 rpm Record with The Penguin telling a story with Burgess Meredith's actual voice. The graphics on the Record Sleeve are really great stock art drawn by Carmine Infantino & it also has an actual photo from the TV Show, all in one. Whew! Rare 1960's BATMAN 45 rpm RECORD ALBUM with Bob Kane

Shown here is an old advertisement for a special BATMAN 45 rpm RECORD that was "supposedly written" by Bob Kane, the "creator" of Batman. This ad appeared in the back of comic books in the late 1960's. Bob Kane wrote the main song "Have Faith in Me". It was performed by Hank Leids & the Bat-Group COURAGE. The song on the B-Side was titled "You've Got Me Crying". As a BONUS, when you bought this record, you also got a 4 X 5 photo of Bob Kane sitting in the original Batmobile Car, signed by him of course! This product was published by Downing Records. Now, I'm wondering... has anyone EVER seen this record or the autographed photo? It's gotta be super-RARE as, in my 20+ years of obsessive bat-collecting, I have NEVER ever seen it! Vintage PENGUIN TOYS & MEMORABILIA Batman Villian

Here's a nice assortment of Vintage Batman Toys and Memorabilia featuring The super-villian THE PENGUIN. The 1st item, & probably the rarest, is the Penguin Batman Model Kit made by Aurora in 1966. This is an extremely RARE kit that you don't see everyday! I love the vintage graphics on the box. The next item is a 45 rpm Record where the sleeve is die-cut to the shape of the Penguin graphic, very cool! Plus, both songs are sort of "Penguin Related". The 3rd picture shows the Super-RARE PENGUIN PEZ Candy Dispenser. This was released by Pez in ©1976 & the unusual thing about it is the head is made out of rubber. In the same "rubber head" Super Hero set they also made Wonder Woman, The Joker, Batman, & Batgirl. The last photo shows a RARE 1970's Penguin Mego Action Figure 8" Doll in the original box. These Megos were usually "carded" so seeing one in the box is a treat. I mean, this baby belongs in a Vintage Toy Museum!
