Classic Batman THE JOKER Paper Craft Toy!

We reported awhile back about a website where you can get some awesome "Vintage-Style" BATMAN & ROBIN Paper Craft Toys you can download & make. Well, now they have made a JOKER one to go with them. Basically it's a free PDF file you can send to your PC's printer ( or e-mail to Kinko's Copies ) & then cut-out to assemble. I think the artist did an amazing job capturing all the small details. The toys look pretty cool & while you're there be sure to check out the many different designs they have. But I gotta warn ya, these Paper Craft Projects are totally addictive!

New MAD MAGAZINE JOKER COVER : The Dark Knight Batman Movie ( Heath Ledger )

Here's the latest issue of MAD MAGAZINE with an awesome JOKER parody cover! It shows Alfred E. Neuman as the Heath Ledger version Joker from The Dark Knight Batman movie. "WHY SO STUPID?", that's hilarious! I saw this at evil Walmart the other night & was going to report on it but totally forgot. Then later I got an e-mail from a Bat-Blog Reader who reminded me ( Thanks Paul ). That just proves that if the Bat-Blog is any good at all then it's because of it's readers! Hey everybody - be a good citizen & keep sending photos, pictures, or information... thanks!

Monster Model Kit Review: THE JOKER By Horizon

I recently discovered "Monster Model Reviews" on YouTube & their videos are actually very good quality. Here they talk about the Horizon Hobbies 1/6th scale vinyl model kit of THE JOKER. It was originally produced in 1993 and sculpted by Taishiro Kiya. One of DC Comics and Batman's most loved villains. This Joker looks totally insane & crazy, awesome! I remember when this model kit came out & always thought it was a very good likeness of the character. The guy here, who built the model kit shown, did a really great job on it & he also shares a few custom things he did.

French Batman Memorabilia...From France, Ohhh La La!

Lately I've been kind of obsessed with the study of Batman merchandise in foreign places. I don't know but you never see this stuff here in the US that much & it's sort of cool to think that people in far away places love the Batman character too. I like to think that maybe there's a little kid right now, in Japan or England, fixing a cloth towel around his neck as a Batman Cape & yelling, "I'm Batman"! It's kinda corny, I know, but with this blog I meet people from all over the globe who are Batman Fans & it's always neat to think about how the character is "world famous". I'm also curious how they "learned about the character". I know it's probably the movies, comic books, or cartoons but I bet some of the toys have had an influence also. So, here's a few pieces of Batman Memorabilia I have found from France. Not everything here is totally exclusive to the French but it's neat none the less. The 1st item is actually from Euro-Disney. I guess they did some kind of promotional tie-in with Warner Bros. This is a metal lapel pin of Jessica Rabbit ( Who Framed Roger Rabbit ) dressed as Robin, The Boy Wonder ( Is it wrong to think she looks HOT? ha ha! ). Next is a "Return To The Batcave" DVD, French Issue. It's titled "Dans La Grotte De Batman". This was the documentary made recently about the 1966 TV Show except it's probably subtitled in French. ( Thank you Andrew for sending the DVD photo ). The 3rd item is sort of weird & wacky! It's a ride-on toy of the Batmobile. I really like it because it's so gosh darn cute & it was made during the craze of "The Batman" animated TV cartoon so it's something recently made. The 4th photo is actually an extremely RARE vintage item. It's a set of stickers from the 1960's that were prizes in gumball machines. I love the vintage graphics, very cool. The last photo shows some kid's shoes with a Batman design. It's hard to tell if these were "the real deal" or just bootleg. The fact that the design motif has both the "comic book version" of Batman & some design elements from "Batman Beyond " ( black & red bat-logo ) makes me wonder. Anyways, just a few items from France. If any readers have some cool "foreign stuff" ( both old & new ) to share then please send us some photos.

Sneak Peek Photos: BATMAN THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD "Enter the Outsiders" ( Episode 6 )

Just a friendly reminder that tonight will be Episode 6 of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD. It's titled "ENTER THE OUTSIDERS". Here's a few screen shots of that cartoon to introduce a few new characters. The 1st superhero in this episode will be B'Wana Beast. He's an extremely obscure character so that's kinda cool. The 2nd superhero is Wildcat. He's pretty obscure too & his voice will be played by actor R. Lee Ermey. You'll recognize his voice right away even if you don't know his name, a great actor! ( Wildcat is not shown here but heavily featured in the next post... with actual videos ) Also included in this episode will be three teens known as "The Outsiders". Their names are Katana, Black Lightning, & Metamorpho. Be sure to check out our videos from this episode in the next post. For now, enjoy the pics! Oh yeah, the new TV show comes on tonight, Friday, January 9th, at 8:00 PM ( 7:00 Central ) on the Cartoon Network.

Sneak Peek Videos: BATMAN THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD "Enter the Outsiders" ( Episode 6 ) With R. Lee Ermey as “Wildcat”

Here's a first look at “Wildcat” and the “Outsiders” in the new Batman: The Brave and The Bold animated series. It's titled "Enter the Outsiders" ( episode #6 ) & it guest stars R. Lee Ermey as “Wildcat”. It airs on Friday, January 9th, on the Cartoon Network at 8:00 PM, 7:00 Central. While watching the video you might recognize Wildcat's voice. It's our good old buddy R. Lee Ermey! He's mainly well-known as the drill sergeant in the Full Metal Jacket Movie ( there's a pic down below to jog your memory ) but he also has a TV Show on the History Channel called MAIL CALL. It's about military history, from the past to the present. It's actually a really great show so please be sure to watch it sometime...I really like it. Anyway, In this week’s episode Batman and his mentor Wildcat face off against a group of teens -- The Outsiders -- whose violent pranks turn to criminal activity under the control of the evil Slug. Batman and B'Wana Beast team up to take down Black Manta in the teaser.
