Some of you might remember a post I did recently about some of the new "Crane Machine" Plush Toys by Toy Factory. Well, I was contacted by them & there has been a few revisions to the 2009 catalog. For one, they will not be doing the Rubber Basketballs they had planned but to make up for it they are extending there "DC Super Friends" toy line to include 6 new plush toys called "Buddy Plush". The set includes: Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, & Robin ( You know which two I am gonna have to get, ha ha ).
YES! It's Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday™ here at the Bat-Blog! OK, The latest buzz in the Batman world is the news about the release of a brand-new video game titled BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( You might have read the reports here a long time ago ) & people just can't seem to wait for it to come out. But, for right now, please enjoy these 2 desktop wallpapers you can use to decorate your desktop. My favorite is the one with the Joker...he looks totally crazy! Also, if you check out the post below this one, you can see the new trailer!
We all need a good laugh every now & then so for that reason I thought I would post some of these humorous photos & funny drawings I came across recently. The 1st one is what Batman & Batgirl Fans would look like on the Southpark TV Cartoon, if they went to a comic book convention, ha ha! The next one was sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader & shows a Penguin dressed as The Dark Knight, actually it looks more like the 60's Adam West version, ha ha. The last one is a parody of a classic 1980's Prince record album using the Batgirl Bat-Cycle (Yvonne Craig version ) from the 1966 TV Show. The original source is on the left to refresh your memory, a pretty good likeness, ha ha ha ha!
There's a website called ETSY where artists & crafts people display their wares. Everything there is homemade & it's a great place to find very unique gifts. They have clothing, T-Shirts, Purses, Handbags, Jewelry, etc...tons of clever stuff. While visiting the site the other day I saw a few Batman-inspired pieces. Some of them were quite good. A nice example is the JOKER RAG DOLL made to look like the Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight Batman movie...very cool! There was a giant-sized BATMAN PINATA HEAD that is both humorous & functional, a great birthday party decoration idea. The last photo shows a Custom Munny Figure made to look like Catwoman, the leatherclad Michelle Pfeiffer version...PURRRFECT! So, if you need ideas for holiday gift giving this Christmas be sure to "Buy Homemade".
