Rare 1966 BATMAN Girl's Summer Shirt

Here's a wonderful photo of an extremely RARE piece of Vintage Batman merchandise. It's a 1966 BATMAN Shirt... for a Little Girl. This item was bought off eBay awhile back from our friend Doug, who wrote, "I recently purchased this 1966 Batman Girl's Summer Shirt on eBay for a song. It is size 3X small cotton shirt with the Joker, Penquin, Batmobile, Batman, and Robin. It also has Gotham City in the background. Please note the Batman Logo is highlighted in pink and other features as well. This is the first one I have ever seen."

Yes, I have to agree that this is the very first time I have seen this variation. Now, I've seen this same graphic used on Baby bibs, Pillows, T-Shirts, etc...but never on a little girl's outfit & never in the strange hot pink variation, very cool! Thanks to Doug for sharing. So, do YOU have a RARE Batman Collectible you would like to share? I'm talking about a "Museum Piece" you have never seen before. if so, then please shoot the Bat-Blog a photo & send it to us, thanks.

Has Anyone Seen This BATMAN 1970's Rain Coat?

I recently got a message from a guy named Steve who is searching for a piece of his childhood. Well, he's looking for a Batman Rain Coat that he had as a kid in the 1970's. He wrote me to see if I had any information but I have never seen this bat-product before. The cool thing, he made these 2 awesome drawings to represent what he's looking for. Yeah, he got into heavy detail here, ha! the Coat was made out of Heavy Black Latex Rubber & was sort of like a Poncho. It had a Bat-Cowl Hood with a Clear-Plastic Visor. On the back was a Large BATMAN Logo ( 1970's Style ) inside a Yellow Oval-Shape. So, has anybody ever seen this thing? If so then please let us know. Thanks.

New BATMAN CLOTHING For Children To Look For at Wal-Mart

I stay awake at night tossing & turning because I worry if Wal-Mart is making enough money. So, I decided to do this post to help them out, ha ha! No, not really, actually our good friend THE BATFAN recently went on a wacky crazy shopping spree & found a lot of very cool Batman merchandise he wanted to share. Now, he mostly buys toys & other cool bat-collectibles, but when he came across these kid's clothes with these amazing Batman graphics, he HAD to get them! What you see here is an almost complete outfit ( at least for the Summer Swimming Pool ). Here's a Batman Baseball Cap & Swim Trunks. They both feature vintage 1980's comic book artwork by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez! Anybody familiar with this artist knows how good his stuff is. I like the hat but the graphics on the shorts are really really great! Too bad they're only children-sized or else I would buy a pair for myself. I wanna thank BATFAN for shooting these pics & also invite other readers to send in theirs. Have YOU found any cool brand-new Batman items recently? If so then please feel free to send us some photos, or if you can't then just let us know the "what & where", thanks!

Jen's New HARLEY QUINN Costume Inspired Dress

OK, it looks like our friend Jennifer has been pretty busy sewing lately & here are some wonderful photos of her latest creation. It's a variation on the Classic Harley Quinn Costume except that it's been modified into a 50's Style Cocktail Dress. Well, it could be a 1940's version, I'm not a fashion expert, ha! But either way it looks extremely cool, and personally, I really like it! Looking at the photos it looks like it can be worn either with or without the huge white collar thing. She also made a hat & mask to go with it, awesome. This would be great for a comic con event or even a dinner party. That is, if you're going to a cool dinner party! So, good job Jen & thanks for sending us the beautiful pics. If there are any other creative people out there doing Batman-inspired art then please share your stuff with us too.

New BATMAN and JOKER T-SHIRTS From Superhero Stuff

Oh yeah! Over at the Superhero Stuff website they just released a few brand-new Batman T-Shirts that I thought were pretty cool. The 1st one shown here is a special "DC Comics 75th Anniversary" shirt with artwork by Walt Simonson. It's the artwork for the recent Detective Comics cover he did that was an homage to an older Golden Age book cover ( also on the shirt ). The next one is a beautiful CATWOMAN image. This pin-up art was done by none other than Adam Hughes, the master! The last example is one of my favorites. It's a scene from a vintage 1970's Batman Comic Book Cover showing the Joker. The original artist back then was Neal Adams so you know the graphics are sweet! Now, they have many more brand-new Batman T-Shirts & other merchandise in right now so if you wanna check them out just click the button down below, thanks.

Here are 2 totally cool photos showing our friend John way back in the day. In the 1st one, he is wearing his awesome Robin, The Boy Wonder T-Shirt. In the next picture he's shown wearing one with a Batman-Logo! OK, now that's loyalty right there... a true Bat-Fan! Remember, we always love getting old photos like this so if you have one then please send it in. Our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page. Shown here are some cool pieces of Batman merchandise made by the Havaianas company. Their high-quality footwear are getting pretty popular. Some people call them "Sandals", I've always called then "Flip-Flops", ha! I have displayed the ones here with artwork of the Dark Knight but they also have some with other superhero graphics like Superman, Wonder Woman, & Green Lantern. Also, one pair features The Joker! You can check them out by clicking here:

Brand-New BATMAN T-Shirts For Sale!

OK, The Bat-Blog has some expenses so I'm gonna ask that if you're in the market for a new piece of Batman Clothing to please use one of our links at this website. We don't make much at all but it can add up after a very long time. Plus, I personally check out all the companies I deal with ( or actually buy from them & know they have good service / great prices ). One such company is Superhero Stuff. While most online stores stay pretty stale they're very dynamic with bringing in new material. Like, here's a bunch of brand new Batman-themed T-Shirts they recently added. Well, they added a lot more but these are some of my favorites. The 1st one is a replica to the cover of a 1940's Golden Age Comic Book, Detective Comics! Speaking of "Golden Age", the next one has a very old graphic of Batman from 1939! In fact, that was the very very 1st image of the Dark Knight himself! The next one is more "modern day" & it shows the evil grin of Two-Face, a Classic Villain. The last one is a replica of a very recent Batman comic book cover. If you would like to see more products this company carries then please be sure to click on the link button down below, thanks!

New BATMAN T-SHIRTS Over At SUPERHERO STUFF

The other night I was kinda bored & decided to check out what kind of new Batman Merchandise there was out there. My main focus was some kind of cool T-Shirt or other clothing. One website that I totally love to buy from is called SUPERHERO STUFF. They have great service & an awesome variety. While there I saw they had a bunch of brand-new T-Shirts & here's the one I think I'm going to buy. It has a graphic on the front of a Silver-Age Comic Book Cover that features artwork by Carmine Infantino. Actually, it's Detective Comics # 380. I don't know, I think it's pretty cool. What do you think? Oh, if you're wondering where their website is I placed a link down below, check it out sometime.

HEY! It's Desmond, The Littlest Batman Fan!

Alright! Late last night I got a new photo of our little buddy Desmond in my email box. That always makes me happy because he's such a cool kid! He's shown here in some new BATMAN Pajamas he got last Christmas. They have a vintage style to them ( think of the ones your Grandpa wore, ha ) & they're completely covered with Batman Bat-Symbol Logos!! Oh man, I'm totally jealous! Hey Desmond, I don't have any cool sleepwear like this! I might have to come over to your house & steal these, ha! I wanna thank his parents for sending the sweet picture. It's nice to see the little guy again & he's still totally adorable. In fact, maybe even a little bit more!

Johnny's CUSTOM BATMAN & ROBIN GI Joe Doll Clothes

This is a really nice story. Here's some pics sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Johnny. When he was a little kid, back in the 1970's, a lady who was a good neighbor made him some Batman & Robin clothes for his large 12" GI Joe Dolls. They were made to sort of be like the Mego Superhero Figures we all know & love. Well, out of sentimental reasons he has kept these outfits for all these years. Later, he got some large dolls to display the mini-costumes as a way to remember her ( she recently passed away ). Now I think these clothes are just totally wonderful & she did a great job on them. OK, I know that they're not totally perfect or completely accurate but a lot of goodness & love went into making them. So for that reason they're really special. Plus, they actually are pretty cool! Thanks to Johnny for sharing his nice story & pics.

Vintage BATMAN and JOKER JACKET - Great Graphics!

All the way from Mexico we got an email from a Bat-Blog Fan named Pablo. He wanted to share a few pics of one of his favorite items in his collection. He has this extremely cool Vintage "CHALK LINE" Batman Jacket. From the style of the artwork used I'm guessing it's from the late 1980's. I totally love the image on the back with Batman & Joker in the heat of battle. They are shown in the Silver-Age Comic Book style...what a lot of people call the "Gray & Blue Batman" ( this is one of my favorites ). Thank you Pablo for sending the nice pics, I really appreciate that. This thing is GREAT!

Bloomingdale's BATMAN High-End Fashion Clothing!

Here's a post done for the Bat-Blog Readers out there who make tons of money! We reported awhile back how Bloomingdale's Department Stores are helping DC Comics celebrate their 75th Anniversary by having a few special Superhero T-Shirts. Well, they have expanded that line of products with a few other articles of clothing. Here are some Batman Socks, Bat-Symbol Necktie, & even a Cashmere Scarf with a cool graphic of our favorite Caped Crusader! Now, why did I mention the "lots of money" part? Well, the socks are $30.00, the Tie is $125.00, & the Scarf is $225.00 -- OUCH! But, I gotta admit, that Bat-Scarf is pretty cool!

New BATMAN, ROBIN, & JOKER T-Shirts To Keep An Eye Out For!

I'm always trying to keep up with Batman T-Shirts Designs & when I come across some that I think are pretty cool I like to share them. Here are 3 new ones that I think are very well done. Now the 1st one is my favorite because it's a graphic of what the original 1966 TOPPS BATMAN Bubble Gum Card Package ( Wax Wrapper ) looked like. That real-life piece of Bat-memorabilia has always been very special to me because I really loved these Trading Cards as a very little kid! The next one has more of a "Pop Art" feel about it & I'm actually trying to figure out who's comic book art they used. I'm thinking it might be the artist Dick Giordano but I'm not sure. Either way, it's the "Silver Age" Batman that I have always liked with the blue / gray bat-suit & yellow-oval bat-symbol logo. For the last example I included this one with split-faces of Batman & The Joker. The reason is because it totally reminds me of all the T-Shirts that were produced during the 1989 Batman Movie craze. It just has a nice "Vintage 80's Look" about it. Now remember, I've included a link button down below so you can see other examples of new shirts offered. So, check it out!!

Bloomingdale's DC COMICS 75th Anniversary T-Shirts ( Batman & Joker )

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of DC Comics Bloomingdale's Department Store is selling some cool Batman & Joker themed T-Shirts. The Vintage Style "Japanese Batman" ( in the 1st photo ) is my personal favorite & I really like the one that looks like a cover to an old Golden Age "Detective Comics" Comic Book. The prices range from $39.00 to around $60, OUCH!

COOL BATGIRL T-SHIRTS For Girls, Teens, & Women

Here's a few Batgirl T-Shirts I found on the web that I had not seen before & they're both pretty cool! The 1st one is my favorite & it's more modern-day with the Batgirl from "The Batman" Animated Series Cartoon. It also has a cool "Anime-Look". The second one is Vintage-Retro with the 1980's-Style graphics that were originally drawn by the famous comic book artist, Dick Giordano. I found them both at a website called WebUndies. They sell T-Shirts, Underwear, Pajamas ( Tops & Bottoms ), & other clothing. They also have Batman T-Shirts for Kids, Men, & Boys. Their merchandise is kind of unique because it's stuff you don't see everywhere.
