For Your Consideration...

Well, it appears that Warner Bros is totally sucking up to all the people who can vote for Oscars. In many of the Hollywood Trade Magazines ( Variety, Hollywood Reporter, etc..) they have placed full-page ads to remind the voters that THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie deserves a lot of Oscars. Shown here are just a few but there are a lot more! The 1st nomination that I think needs to be honored is for Heath Ledger as The Joker. He truly did an amazing job & I'm not just saying that to be nice because he passed away. He really deserves it & he will be missed. It's kind of sad to think about all the future performances we will be missing out on. He's seriously a great talent. Of course there are many other Best Supporting Actors who should be included too. The list would be Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, & Morgan Freeman. The whole cast did an incredible job! The Dark Knight easily deserves Best Movie of The Year while Christopher Noland should get Best Director. Also, let's not forget Best Supporting Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, she's wonderful. I also think we should even mention Christian Bale for his contribution. The movie deserves a lot of "technical awards" for stuff like Art Direction, Film Editing, Best Make Up, Best Costume Design, etc...we'll have to wait & see. Because of The Dark Knight Batman movie this year's Oscars Award Show should be pretty fun to watch, & kind of nerve-racking too, ha ha!

HOT TOYS The Dark Knight HARVEY DENT TWO-FACE Figure

I have had this picture for a few days but needed to confirm it before posting. This is a "Teaser Image" of the HOT TOYS Harvey Dent Two-Face Figure ( Large Doll ) they plan to release later. Everybody is very excited about this! HOT TOYS is really well-known for their high-quality products. If you remember the "Joker Bank Robber" figure we featured here awhile back then that should give you a good idea. They did such a great job at sculpting the head for this figure that it looked exactly like a photo of the actor Heath Ledger! So, it's gonna be neat to see how much this one looks like Aaron Eckhart. Please stay tuned with the Bat-Blog & when the toy company finally releases some new photos we'll feature then here. I saw THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie & it's AMAZING!

Late last night, at midnight, I went to my local theater & viewed the new Dark Knight Batman movie!! OH MY GOD!!! I'm not kidding when I say this movie is a True Art Masterpiece! It was amazing. Every actor's performance was brilliant, especially Heath Ledger as The Joker. Heath Ledger took the Joker character to a whole new level & he simply deserves an Oscar for his performance. But, to be honest, so does every other actor on this film: Christian Bale ( Batman & Bruce Wayne ), Gary Oldman ( Lieutenant Jim Gordon ), Aaron Eckhart ( District Attorney Harvey Dent & Two-Face Villain ), Michael Caine ( Butler Alfred Pennyworth ), Morgan Freeman ( Lucius Fox ), & Maggie Gyllenhaal ( Rachel Dawes ), among others. It's also important to note that Christopher Nolan deserves a "Best Director" Oscar & The Dark Knight should get "Best Movie of The Year"! I know I sound kinda crazy but I'm totally serious when I say that if you're a true Batman Fan you will totally LOVE this movie...go see it tonight, twice!

THE DARK KNIGHT Actor's Interviews Talk Show Media Blitz!

OK, since THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie is about to hit Warner Bros is kicking the media talk show circuit up a bit! Scheduled for Tuesday, July 15th:
In the morning, Morgan Freeman ( Lucius Fox ) will be on The TODAY SHOW. Then, Morgan Freeman will join Michael Caine ( Butler Alfred Pennyworth ) on THE VIEW. Then, later tonight, Aaron Eckhart ( DA Harvey Dent / Two-Face ) will be on the LATE SHOW with David Letterman. Be sure to check your local TV Guide for air time information.

OK, it's not the best quality but this is the brand-new DARK KNIGHT BATMAN Movie Trailer # 2 shown in Brazil that will be released by Warner Bros Studio in a few days ( maybe this Sunday at the WHYSOSERIOUS/HAPPYTRAILS website). We really get to hear The Joker's voice ( Heath Ledger ) a lot more in this one. There's also more of a focus on Harvey Dent ( Aaron Eckhart ) & Rachel Dawes ( Maggie Gyllenhaal ). At the Warner Bros Viral Site for the new Dark Knight Batman movie, Ibelieveinharveydent, they are starting a new deal where you sign up & eventually you will get a phone call that is a recording of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) campaigning for District Attorney. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, is reporting this so I thought I would hold out until there's some more information. Anyway, their website is now sort of a political campaign site for him & it looks extremely real. There are even some images you can download to make/print some very realisitic campaign signs & bumper stickers: Harvey Dent For District Attorney... very cool! A friend of mine sent me this link to an artist who, very recently, was totally inspired to make some artwork based on The DARK KNIGHT Batman movie. I gotta agree with my friend that his work is pretty good! I mean, it's cool when people are creative about their appreciation of the Batman character. Anyway, he's done some very neat graphics of Batman ( Christian Bale ), Two-Face ( Aaron Eckhart ), & The Joker ( Heath Ledger ). I just read in the BAT-BLOG Message Boards that Variety Magazine named Aaron Eckhart as the actor Warner Bros picked to play Harvey Dent in the New Batman movie THE DARK KNIGHT! He was the lead character in a recent film called "Thank You For Smoking", about how evil the real-life tobacco industry is, ha ha. He looks like a good choice & I think the next bat-Film is gonna be awesome!!
