There's been a lot of hype recently about the I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT website having a "Live" News Conference yesterday ( Sunday ) at 3:00 PM EST. Well, I was away from the computer but after getting back home I checked & it looks like it was canceled because of a "Hostage Event down the street at a local Gotham City Deli". Here's what the official report is: "Today's press conference was unexpectedly cancelled due to a hostage crisis located at a nearby deli. In a selfless move, Mr. Dent entered the premises, exchanged himself for a woman who was being held at gunpoint, and negotiated the successful release of the remaining patrons in the restaurant. Watch this site for updates. We will release more details when they become available."Wow! Dent is a hero! But, I wonder when they are going to have their actual news conference rescheduled? After doing a post here recently about the "I Believe in Harvey Dent" Dark Knight movie viral marketing video of "Rachel Dawes endorsing Harvey Dent for DA of Gotham City" I received an e-mail from some loser ( yeah, I said loser ) who wrote on and on and on about how ugly Maggie Gyllenhaal is & how she is not as pretty as Katie Holmes, etc...Well, I guess that guy has never seen these photos! Now, I always respect the opinions of people who have different ones than I do. Hey, it's called FREEDOM. But, readers, this guy was a total jerk who's opinion was just plain moronic. He said stuff like "Katie used to be married to Mel Gibson before marrying Tom Cruise", ha ha. Stupid dis-information crap like that. At first I thought it was a joke but this idiot was serious, ha ha! And that's an opinion I don't respect, one that's totally based on stupidity. Maggie Gyllenhaal might not fit the Barbie-Doll mold of beauty but she's independent, extremely smart, hard working, nice, funny, etc...and to me that's sexy. Whew, sorry to vent. I'm gonna lay down now & calm down.

A lot of things in a campaign look differently from the inside. Take the current media wildfire. Now, there's not a shred of evidence linking Harvey Dent to any questionable behavior. But the media is creating such a ruckus that from the outside, it's impossible to see anything else.
Well, I can tell all of you that the Dent campaign is still going strong. We're still committed to bringing Harvey Dent's message of change to every corner of this city.
Harvey Dent is not letting the smear campaign impact our campaign. He's continuing to do what a candidate does -- and he's continuing to lead the charge against the corruption that's destroying our city.
So rest assured -- this campaign is not over. Indeed, it has hardly begun. We WILL take Gotham back.

Harvey Dent realizes that the slanderous and untrue charges trumped up by a mysterious group never seen before in Gotham politics has distracted from the real issues facing Gotham - how to make our city safe again and fight the crime and corruption that is endangering our future. I Believe In Harvey Dent will hold a press conference on Sunday, April 13th at 3:00 pm (EDT) for an important announcement regarding the campaign. The audio of this event will be streamed live on this website.
CLARIFICATION: The Gotham Machinists Union has not "withdrawn their endorsement" of Harvey Dent for DA. Their spokesmen clarified that the endorsement has merely been "suspended" for the time being. The Harvey Dent campaign looks forward to the continued support of the Gotham Machinists Union.
DONUT SUPPLIER NEEDED: The Harvey Dent campaign lives and breathes off its volunteer crew. Hundreds of Gotham citizens have joined the campaign to change our city. But this week, our donut donor stopped donating donuts to us. And as anyone who has worked on a campaign knows, if the volunteers are the life's blood of a campaign, then donuts are the life's blood of the volunteers. OK, I know I'm a major bat-nerd now when I get really excited about being placed on THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Viral Website, ha ha! Warner Bros has created a page called "I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT" that is the base for their HARVEY DENT For DISTRICT ATTORNEY Political Campaign. It's a cool site that looks real & it allows people to get involved in different ways. One way is they have some really great PDF pictures that you can download & then take to a local printer to get bumper stickers or campaign posters printed, the graphics are nice! So, I had a "HARVEY DENT FOR GOTHAM CITY" banner made & put it on the back of my work truck. Plus, awhile back I found some LETTER vinyl stickers & put "BAT-BLOG.COM" on my back tailgate. Everywhere I drive or park I advertise the Bat-Blog, ha ha! OK, so I took a picture of the back of my truck & submitted it. It got accepted & is now on the page. The funny thing is that the "Bat-Blog.Com Propaganda"also appears in the photo! If any other readers have some great ideas to advertise the Bat-Blog then please let me know ( You guys might mention this site in a message board you belong to or post a bulletin at your MySpace page, hint, hint ). One last thing, in the picture down below are some of the Political Campaign Buttons & Stickers being given away by the DENTMOBILE. If any of you live in a town where they are appearing please get me some of these! I live in Oklahoma City & they are NOT even coming close to my area ( yeah, that sucks! ).
It looks like Warner Bros' latest viral marketing for The Dark Knight Batman movie will start on the west coast. The "Vote For Harvey Dent" Campaign Van will be in Los Angeles, CA on March 13th. Then Tucson, AZ on March 14th. Then Scottsdale, AZ on March 15th & so on. At the Warner Bros Viral Site for the new Dark Knight Batman movie, Ibelieveinharveydent, they are starting a new deal where you sign up & eventually you will get a phone call that is a recording of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) campaigning for District Attorney. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, is reporting this so I thought I would hold out until there's some more information. Anyway, their website is now sort of a political campaign site for him & it looks extremely real. There are even some images you can download to make/print some very realisitic campaign signs & bumper stickers: Harvey Dent For District Attorney... very cool!
