NEW BATMAN STATUE BUST - TWO-FACE 1:2 Scale

At the end of next month, March 30, 2011, DC Direct will release a brand-new BATMAN Statue of TWO-FACE as a 1:2 Scale BUST. It was sculpted by ANDY BERGHOLTZ. The man once known as District Attorney Harvey Dent appears here in his classic comic-book style, dressed in his trademark dual-fabric suit, shirt and tie, which are finely tailored over his cold-cast porcelain body. It will be mounted on a museum-style, pedestal display base, this mixed-media piece measures approximately 13" tall, includes a 4-color Certificate of Authenticity and is packaged in a 4-color box. Limited edition of 500 pieces & will have a Retail price around $ 295.00 but can be found ON SALE at certain websites.

Kevin is HARVEY DENT / TWO-FACE From The Dark Knight Batman Movie!

Alright, these photos were really fun to receive because for the 1st time I got to see what my friend Kevin looks like ( I've known him on the Internet for awhile but have never met him ) and I got to see his amazing Batman-themed Halloween Costume! He chose to be Harvey Dent / Two-Face & his make-up plus costume are totally awesome! I mean, extremely well done. He really looks like he has been burned. His business suit is perfect on one side & damaged on the other. Plus, the "Vote For Harvey Dent" Political Campaign Button is a nice touch...he even has a 2-sided Coin! Thank you Kevin for sending us these great pics. You should be very proud of your costume & I bet it will be a SMASH-HIT at any Halloween Party! I'm not dressing-up this year & I'm totally jealous, ha ha!

In a previous Bat-Blog report you might remember a pair of Batman & Joker Bobble Head Nodders we posted. Of course they were from THE DARK KNIGHT movie & were pretty cool. I never got around to getting a set but plan on it in the future. Well, it looks like the NECA Toy Company has produced a totally brand-new set of 3 HeadKnockers of TDK Batman, Joker, & Harvey Dent / Two-Face ). These too are pretty cool & it's nice to see some new TDK merchandise.

The Dark Knight JOKER Has Been Spotted in Ireland!

An avid reader of the Bat-Blog, named Kieran ( who lives in Ireland ), sent us these wonderful photos of his recent Halloween Costume of THE JOKER that he created. The attention to details are very accurate. One thing I noticed is that the blue shirt he's wearing has the exact "hexagon pattern" as the one worn by Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight movie. The make-up is really nice too. Overall, a very well-executed job! Plus, as a treat, the last photo shows him with his friend "Two-Face". He's half Harvey Dent & half EVIL! This too is a really great costume. It looks like everybody had fun! Thank you Kieran for sharing these pics with us, I appreciate that!

HOT TOYS The Dark Knight HARVEY DENT TWO-FACE Figure

I have had this picture for a few days but needed to confirm it before posting. This is a "Teaser Image" of the HOT TOYS Harvey Dent Two-Face Figure ( Large Doll ) they plan to release later. Everybody is very excited about this! HOT TOYS is really well-known for their high-quality products. If you remember the "Joker Bank Robber" figure we featured here awhile back then that should give you a good idea. They did such a great job at sculpting the head for this figure that it looked exactly like a photo of the actor Heath Ledger! So, it's gonna be neat to see how much this one looks like Aaron Eckhart. Please stay tuned with the Bat-Blog & when the toy company finally releases some new photos we'll feature then here. OK, since THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie is about to hit Warner Bros is kicking the media talk show circuit up a bit! Scheduled for Tuesday, July 15th:
In the morning, Morgan Freeman ( Lucius Fox ) will be on The TODAY SHOW. Then, Morgan Freeman will join Michael Caine ( Butler Alfred Pennyworth ) on THE VIEW. Then, later tonight, Aaron Eckhart ( DA Harvey Dent / Two-Face ) will be on the LATE SHOW with David Letterman. Be sure to check your local TV Guide for air time information.

OK, it's not the best quality but this is the brand-new DARK KNIGHT BATMAN Movie Trailer # 2 shown in Brazil that will be released by Warner Bros Studio in a few days ( maybe this Sunday at the WHYSOSERIOUS/HAPPYTRAILS website). We really get to hear The Joker's voice ( Heath Ledger ) a lot more in this one. There's also more of a focus on Harvey Dent ( Aaron Eckhart ) & Rachel Dawes ( Maggie Gyllenhaal ). Overall, this new movie trailer is FREAKIN' AWESOME!!

Harvey Dent Political Campaign Speech Cancelled

There's been a lot of hype recently about the I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT website having a "Live" News Conference yesterday ( Sunday ) at 3:00 PM EST. Well, I was away from the computer but after getting back home I checked & it looks like it was canceled because of a "Hostage Event down the street at a local Gotham City Deli". Here's what the official report is: "Today's press conference was unexpectedly cancelled due to a hostage crisis located at a nearby deli. In a selfless move, Mr. Dent entered the premises, exchanged himself for a woman who was being held at gunpoint, and negotiated the successful release of the remaining patrons in the restaurant. Watch this site for updates. We will release more details when they become available." Wow! Dent is a hero! But, I wonder when they are going to have their actual news conference rescheduled? You Take That Back, Maggie Gyllenhaal is HOT!

After doing a post here recently about the "I Believe in Harvey Dent" Dark Knight movie viral marketing video of "Rachel Dawes endorsing Harvey Dent for DA of Gotham City" I received an e-mail from some loser ( yeah, I said loser ) who wrote on and on and on about how ugly Maggie Gyllenhaal is & how she is not as pretty as Katie Holmes, etc...Well, I guess that guy has never seen these photos! Now, I always respect the opinions of people who have different ones than I do. Hey, it's called FREEDOM. But, readers, this guy was a total jerk who's opinion was just plain moronic. He said stuff like "Katie used to be married to Mel Gibson before marrying Tom Cruise", ha ha. Stupid dis-information crap like that. At first I thought it was a joke but this idiot was serious, ha ha! And that's an opinion I don't respect, one that's totally based on stupidity. Maggie Gyllenhaal might not fit the Barbie-Doll mold of beauty but she's independent, extremely smart, hard working, nice, funny, etc...and to me that's sexy. Whew, sorry to vent. I'm gonna lay down now & calm down.

HARVEY DENT Press Conference Scheduled This Sunday, April 13th at 3:00 pm (EDT)

The Bat-Blog received an e-mail this morning from the Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) campaign (The Dark Knight viral marketing) today:


A lot of things in a campaign look differently from the inside. Take the current media wildfire. Now, there's not a shred of evidence linking Harvey Dent to any questionable behavior. But the media is creating such a ruckus that from the outside, it's impossible to see anything else.



Well, I can tell all of you that the Dent campaign is still going strong. We're still committed to bringing Harvey Dent's message of change to every corner of this city.



Harvey Dent is not letting the smear campaign impact our campaign. He's continuing to do what a candidate does -- and he's continuing to lead the charge against the corruption that's destroying our city.



So rest assured -- this campaign is not over. Indeed, it has hardly begun. We WILL take Gotham back.

Harvey Dent realizes that the slanderous and untrue charges trumped up by a mysterious group never seen before in Gotham politics has distracted from the real issues facing Gotham - how to make our city safe again and fight the crime and corruption that is endangering our future. I Believe In Harvey Dent will hold a press conference on Sunday, April 13th at 3:00 pm (EDT) for an important announcement regarding the campaign. The audio of this event will be streamed live on this website.



CLARIFICATION: The Gotham Machinists Union has not "withdrawn their endorsement" of Harvey Dent for DA. Their spokesmen clarified that the endorsement has merely been "suspended" for the time being. The Harvey Dent campaign looks forward to the continued support of the Gotham Machinists Union.



DONUT SUPPLIER NEEDED: The Harvey Dent campaign lives and breathes off its volunteer crew. Hundreds of Gotham citizens have joined the campaign to change our city. But this week, our donut donor stopped donating donuts to us. There's been a lot of hype about the Joker website CLOWN TRAVEL AGENCY but one that has sort of been missed is CONCERNED CITIZENS FOR A BETTER GOTHAM CITY. This page is a negative campaign against Harvey Dent. Done by the Police Officers who have been wrongfully accused by Harvey Dent for being corrupt. Well, last week I signed up for the heck of it & was very surprised to find this Harvey Dent Campaign Button in my postal mail box. The funny thing is that half of it was burned. I was kinda mad at first because I thought this was part of the package I have been waiting for & somehow they sent me a damaged button, ha ha! Then I turned it over & on the back is a sticker for the "CCFABG.ORG". Hmmm, 1/2 his face is burned, is this a clue? Down below is a link button to sign-up. The Bat-Blog is On The "I Believe in Harvey Dent" Viral Campaign Website!

OK, I know I'm a major bat-nerd now when I get really excited about being placed on THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Viral Website, ha ha! Warner Bros has created a page called "I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT" that is the base for their HARVEY DENT For DISTRICT ATTORNEY Political Campaign. It's a cool site that looks real & it allows people to get involved in different ways. One way is they have some really great PDF pictures that you can download & then take to a local printer to get bumper stickers or campaign posters printed, the graphics are nice! So, I had a "HARVEY DENT FOR GOTHAM CITY" banner made & put it on the back of my work truck. Plus, awhile back I found some LETTER vinyl stickers & put "BAT-BLOG.COM" on my back tailgate. Everywhere I drive or park I advertise the Bat-Blog, ha ha! OK, so I took a picture of the back of my truck & submitted it. It got accepted & is now on the page. The funny thing is that the "Bat-Blog.Com Propaganda"also appears in the photo! If any other readers have some great ideas to advertise the Bat-Blog then please let me know ( You guys might mention this site in a message board you belong to or post a bulletin at your MySpace page, hint, hint ). One last thing, in the picture down below are some of the Political Campaign Buttons & Stickers being given away by the DENTMOBILE. If any of you live in a town where they are appearing please get me some of these! I live in Oklahoma City & they are NOT even coming close to my area ( yeah, that sucks! ).

It looks like Warner Bros' latest viral marketing for The Dark Knight Batman movie will start on the west coast. The "Vote For Harvey Dent" Campaign Van will be in Los Angeles, CA on March 13th. Then Tucson, AZ on March 14th. Then Scottsdale, AZ on March 15th & so on.
