OK, here's the deal. I live in Oklahoma City & we never have any decent Comic Book Conventions here. It seems like I always have to travel to Dallas, Texas or somewhere to meet really big stars. So, I'm really excited about the fact that ADAM WEST ( Batman 1966 TV Show ) is going to be in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 26th & 27th. Tulsa is a short little road trip that is about an hour & a 1/2 drive for me...YAH! The funny thing is that he will be at the TREK EXPO which is basically a super-major Star Trek Convention, ha ha! In fact, their HUGE Special Guest is none other than William Shatner. Yes, Captain James T. Kirk! They're also going to have a few actors from other TV Shows & Movies like the old Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, etc...It looks like a really cool event so if you live close by you should check it out. Do you remember those wonderful Mego Dolls from the 70's? Do you collect them? Well, the Mego Museum is having their annual MEGO MEET again this June. I know, that's about 3 months away but I thought I would report it now so many of you can make travel plans. I will probably remind everybody closer to the time it actually happens but it's good to know early. Now, for people who have never been, MegoMeet is a chance for the Mego Toy Collectors Community to get together in person to trade and buy parts and action figures, sit in on sessions designed to educate and answer questions about the Mego Corporation and the Toys they made, but more than anything a chance to hook up with friends and fellow collectors live and in person, instead of over the internet. This year it will be in Wheeling, West Virginia at the Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum. The date for the event is June 11th & 12th, 2010. OK, this thing is always way too far for me to go so if any of you go please send us some cool pics!
Awesome! It looks like the Tonner Doll Company is going to feature an EXCLUSIVE Deluxe Figure of THE HUNTRESS for this year's 2010 Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo known as "C2E2". The Doll will be 17" tall, very limited ( only 200 made ), & will come with an autographed certificate signed by Doll Creator Robert Tonner. At the convention you'll be able to find it at booth # 425. The retail price will be about $150.00. Now, for people living near the Chicago area, this show will be April 16th-18th, 2010. Here's some really great Bat-News! BATMAN BEYOND will be returning this year in June, well, sort of. Unfortunately it won't be an animated TV series cartoon but it will be the next best thing, it's gonna be a comic book! To be exact, a six-part mini-series from writer Adam Beechen and artist Ryan Benjamin. The graphic up above is the cover artwork for the 1st issue as drawn by Dustin Nguyen. I also made it into a BATMAN BEYOND WALLPAPER BACKGROUND so please click on it for a larger version to brighten your desktop! For a little insight, here's a quote from Writer Adam Beechen, “The dark future of the legendary animated series comes to the DCU in a six-issue miniseries, as Terry McGinniss, Bruce Wayne’s young successor as Batman, faces his deadliest foe yet — a mystery murderer from the Dark Knight’s past! Old faces return, new allies and enemies step into the light, and the partnership between Terry and Bruce - not to mention Terry and Bruce themselves - might not survive!”
OK, This picture of a CAT wearing a BATMAN MASK is totally funny and extremely creepy, all at the same time, ha ha! ( Thanks to Dave for sending the pic ).

We call it, "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! OK, this week I thought I would use a Splash Page from a current Batman Comic Book. Actually, it's issue #697. The details are pretty cool & it features a ton of great characters like Batgirl, The Huntress, Red Robin, Man-Bat, Wildcat, & many more! The Artwork was Penciled by Tony S. Daniel, Inked by Sandu Florea, & the Coloring was done by Ian Hannin. Using the one graphic I made 3 versions: The 1st one is pretty straight-forward, it's the comic book page. The 2nd one is the exact same thing but toned-down ( way lighter ) so it won't mess with you being able to see your desktop icons ( some people like that ). And the 3rd one is formatted to fit the screen of an Apple iPod Touch or iPhone. Also, the other iPod Wallpaper is the future cover art to BATMAN # 700, which is starting to become very popular ( this was a request by a Bat-Blog Fan.
