BATMAN & BATMOBILE Holiday Desktop Wallpapers - Merry Christmas!

Since today is "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" & tonight is Christmas Eve I thought I would post a few that are holiday themed. The 1st one is actually a photo sent in to us from a reader named Iris who is from Germany. She has a cool collection of standees in her hallway & decorated them this year for Christmas with Santa Claus hats! I thought this photo was pretty funny & the idea is also very clever. The 2nd one is a now-famous graphic of the 1966 Batman TV Show Batmobile Car. It's sort of a parody of this classic Christmas song, "Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg, THE BATMOBILE LOST IT'S WHEEL, & the Joker got away...HEY!". Everyone here at the Bat-Blog wants to wish everyone in the whole wide world a very very MERRY CHRISTMAS & a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Billy's Batmobile Collection : Part Two

THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Parody at RIFFTRAX

The comedians over at RIFFTRAX have just completed a funny parody of THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie. These are the guys who did Mystery Science Theater 3000 ( or MST3 for you fans out there, ha ha ) & RIFFTRAX is sort of the same thing. They watch movies & make funny commentaries while watching. BATMAN ORIGINAL ART By Joe Pekar, Part 1

A good friend to the Bat-Blog, known as "The BAT-FAN", recently sent us a few photos of some of his incredible Batman Art Collection. In fact, there were so many that I had to break them up a little bit & will feature more in the near future. The artwork you see here are watercolors all done by Joe Pekar. He commissioned the artist to custom-make these just for him. The Superhero Characters include: Batgirl, Batman, Robin, & The Huntress. As you can see they are truly beautiful. TOON TUMBLERS: DC Comics Comic Book Batman & The Joker Character Glasses

Do you remember when you could hit your favorite fast food restaurant & get a cool Promo Glass...made out of real glass! Well, a few years ago ( around 2004 ) a company called POPFUN MERCHANDISING started to make a new product called TOON TUMBLERS. Basically they're high-quality Character Glasses with awesome graphics. They started out using children's comic book & TV cartoon characters like Underdog, Harvey Comics, Bullwinkle, etc...then they started to do Marvel Comics Superheroes. Once I saw the Marvel characters I knew it wouldn't be long until they started doing DC Comics Comic Book Characters. Well, they have finally arrived! Shown here are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Firestorm, Sgt. Rock, & The Joker! OK, you know which two I'm gonna have to get ( Batman & Joker, Duh! )! But the ones of Sgt. Rock & Superman are pretty cool too! I like the fact that the Batman Glass uses Neal Adams' artwork from the 1970's & The Joker glass features graphics by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez ( or is it Dick Giordano's art?
