Here are some photos sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader who is collecting the Hot Wheels "2010 Mexico Convention" Cars ( Thanks Cam ). Basically, there was an event held in Mexico by Toy Collectors & Mattel sent some of their Designers who brought a ton of Exclusive Promo-Batmobile Cars. Here's a "Brave and The Bold" car with Mexican flag graphics, a VW Drag Bus with a mural painted on the side to create the illusion that the van is actually the 1966 Batmobile ( that one is pretty cool because it's kinda weird ), and, finally, another Chrome '66 Batmobile. Here's a brand-new Batman product to totally keep an eye out for! It's a BATMAN USB FLASH DRIVE created by Mimobot! Check out this totally incredible tattoo of The Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin! Christopher, a new friend to the Bat-Blog, was kind enough to share these wonderful pics of his Batman tattoo. The artwork comes from the original art for the Whitman 1966 Batman Coloring Book. Using an image that is sort of iconic is very cool. I totally love all the old coloring book covers & this is a great choice. The Tattoo Artist here did a fine job with the colors too. I wanna thank Christopher for sharing these nice pics & if any other Bat-Blog Fans out there get some ink done then please be sure to shoot us some photos. One of the fun things they did during the 1966 BATMAN TV Show was the "Window Cameo". Every now and then Batman & Robin would be climbing up the side of a building in Gotham City & a window would open with a special guest to interact with. It was a favorite part of the show for many viewers & the list includes: Jerry Lewis, Dick Clark, Green Hornet ( Van Williams ) and Kato ( Bruce Lee ), Sammy Davis Jr., Jose Jimenez ( Bill Dana ), Howard Duff as Detective Sam Stone on "Felony Squad", Colonel Klink ( Werner Klemperer ), Lurch ( Ted Cassidy ), Don Ho, Andy Devine as Santa Claus, Art Linkletter, Edward G. Robinson, Suzy Knickerbocker, and The Carpet King ( real name unknown ).
When I woke up this morning I realized that I totally forgot to post a few BATMAN BACKGROUNDS yesterday for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday". Oh man, I'm such an idiot! So to make up for that here are a few that should be favorites for Fans of the 1989 BATMAN Movie. They both sort of revolve around the Actor Michael Keaton. In the 1st one we see him as Batman in the bat-suit costume. The 2nd one shows him as Bruce Wayne & we also get to see Jack Nicholson as The Joker. So, are these cool or what? I've always loved this movie & it's hard to think that it was 22 years ago when it came out. That makes me feel sort of old, ha ha!
I saw this incredibly beautiful Vintage Batman Toy on eBay the other night & knew it had to be shared. This is the BATMAN 2 Way Electromagnetic Battery Operated WRIST RADIO Play Set made by Remco in 1966. Even thought the actual toy is kinda cheesy, the BOX graphics are totally awesome!
