BATMAN 1939 : Fan-Made Film Batman Movie FILM-NOIR

Here's a recent Fan-Made Film featuring Batman as he looked in 1939. It looks really great, it's all black & white, plus it has a film-noir look about it that's kinda cool. I also really like the Batman Costume. You only get to see it for a few seconds but check out the costume, cowl, chest bat-symbol logo, & especially the bat-belt, exactly like it was in 1939....very "30's retro" & very cool!

FIRESTORM DC Comic Cancelled ~ Send a Message!

I know this is NOT Batman related but it does involve DC Comics so I thought some readers might find it important. The comic book FIRESTORM is gonna be cancelled & a friend of the Bat-Blog is pretty upset about it. He wrote, "I'm a little disappointed that Firestorm is being cancelled but there are rumors that he will be on a team soon ( maybe even the JLA ). That takes some of the sting out of this & in a couple of years he might even get another shot at his own title again. Wasn't the original Firestorm run cancelled in its first year? By the way, have you written DC a letter? It might not make a difference on the cancellation, but it’s important that DC knows this character is important to fans. I wrote a letter last Fall and got a personal response back from Jann Jones. DC has the coolest letterhead I’ve ever seen. Write them a letter and make sure they keep Firestorm active in the DCU.

In the 1960's the Ideal Toy Company made a line of now Classic Vintage Toys called CAPTAIN ACTION. Basically he was alot like GI Joe except the clothing was uniforms to make him comic book superheroes like Superman, Aquaman, Green Hornet, Phantom, Flash Gordon, Lone Ranger, etc...Shown below is the original 60's BATMAN UNIFORM, Mint in the Original Package! I love the vintage comic graphic art on it, very nice! The next pic is a photo of CAPTAIN ACTION & his trusty sidekick ACTION BOY both dressed like Batman and Robin....go ahead & drool! BATMAN TATTOO ART : ROBIN & HUNTRESS from George Perez Comic Book Art

Last month ( Jan 19th ) we featured a cool Batman-Related Tattoo here at the BAT-BLOG that got alot of attention. Actually it was a CATWOMAN Tattoo & people really loved it, it's quite good. Well, a reader named "OJ" saw it & said he had one by the same artist. He wrote, "Thanks to tattoo artist Patrick Cornolo I was introduced to your nifty website here. It has quickly become one of my favorites! I have a whole slew of comic book-flavored tattoos, thanks to Patrick, and as of right now I have only one truly Batman-themed Tattoo. It is of the Robin and Huntress of Earth 2 and it is on my chest close to my right shoulder. The original art is credited to George Perez, of whom I'm a huge fan, and it's from the cover of CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #11 ( Feb 1986 ). I got a couple of ideas in the hopper, and eventually I will get around to having a genuine Batman tattoo completed. I'll keep you posted!". GRAND THEFT AUTO Video Game BATMAN MOD

OK, This post will be popular with gamers of GRAND THEFT AUTO: San Andreas and BATMAN FANS!! The picture up above shows a prototype of a Batman MOD that I found on a gaming webpage but it was unavailable for download. Basically a MOD is a special code you can apply into your PC to change a character or vehicle inside a video game you have on your computer. I don't think these work on Playstation Consules, just the PC. I've seen these before with the game DOOM & instead of having monsters to kill they had Barney The Dinosaur ( that would be a pleasure ) & Simpsons characters! Here, you can replace the main character in GTA with a graphic of BATMAN. Not only would that be extremely cool to play but he's the 1970's version of Batman that I like best! When, or if, this MOD becomes avaliable I'll have a post here, stay tuned!

Nice Group of Vintage Batman Toys 1960's & 1970's

The BAT-BLOG is mainly about the Joy of Collecting Vintage Batman Toys & recently I have been going off in alot of different directions with the posts ( Tattoos, Original Art, Wallpapers, Humor, etc...) so I thought today I would re-focus on the vintage toys! The 1st pic is a wonderful Vintage 1960's BATMOBILE TIN TOY CAR from JAPAN. I mean, literially from Japan! A loyal reader of the BAT-BLOG sent me this photo & his e-mail was totally Japanese! I had to use some Translation Software just to read it, ha ha! I almost cried when I saw the photo. This thing is Super-RARE & sooo beautiful that it's almost an art masterpiece! It has the original box, which I wish the pic showed more of, but it's still a great photo. Thanx Keijn! The next item is a 1966 BATMAN PAINT-BY NUMBERS that was made by Hasbro & is still shrink-wrapped! The 3rd photo is a nice Corgi BATMAN ON BAT-BIKE Diecast Toy. It's in MINT condition with beautiful stickers on both sides. The last picture is a really RARE BATMAN ROAD RACING SET slot car set made by AHI. It featured 2 slot cars that were the Batmobile with Batman & a Jokercar with the Joker! The graphics on this HUGE box are really wonderful & have that great "vintage look" about them. I hope these awesome vintage toys make-up for the fact that I haven't posted any for a little while. The BAT-BLOG is known for diveristy & that's what we try to do, enjoy!
