Video - Interview with Vintage Japanese Batman Toy Collector Yuji Ueda

Here's a very well-made video featuring our friend Yuji Ueda. He's a big Batman Toy Collector & his main focus is the Japanese items from the 1960's. In fact, the video is sort of a tour of famous Vintage Toy Shops in Japan ( Yes, that would be my dream vacation, ha! ). But, as you'll see from this interview, he also likes the modern day stuff as well. OK, get ready to drool!

BATMAN WALLPAPER - Jean Baptiste's Vintage 1960's BATMOBILE CAR Japanese Tin Toy

OK, The more I look at this image, the more I want to cry! The Bat-Blog has a cool friend over at facebook named Jean Baptiste. He lives in Belgium & is also a major Vintage Toy Collector. His main focus are old Japanese Tin Toys & Robots from Japan. He recently sent me this photo the other day of a beautiful 60's Batmobile Tin Toy Car from his collection. Now, I'm not sure if he was just sharing to be nice, or if he was trying to torture me ( ha ha! ). But either way, thank You Jean for the great pic. I love this old toy so much that I made two BATMAN WALLPAPERS out of it! Just choose the color you like, then POW! You got an awesome desktop background, ha!

BATMAN TIN TOYS - Toy Collection from Thailand!

WARNING: Here's a couple of pictures of part of an amazing Batman Tin Toy Collection that will make you drool for hours. I'm warning you now that if you stare too long at these pics then you will start to cry...this stuff is that cool & that rare, ha! These photos are from our friend "BAT-CAT" who lives in Thailand. There are many examples of some super-rare Japanese Tin Toy Robots. I love that the Dark Knight has been so popular in Japan! Well, the pair of Batman & Robin Bubble Bath SOAKY Containers ( far left ) are from the USA, ©1966. So is the "Jack Nicholson Joker" & "Michael Keaton Batman" Tin Toy Robots on the lower right-hand side. I remember when those came out around the time of the 1989 movie. Also, the 2 vinyl figures on the very far right, where Batman & Robin look sort of like cute little children, those are from the 1970's & were sold in the USA. Everything else is pretty much from the 1960's & "Made In Japan". WOW! What a great selection of very hard to find bat-collectibles!! ( Thanks Bat-Cat ).

Ultra-Rare JAPANESE BATMAN TIN TOY ROBOT in RED COLOR!

This set of photos is from our friend "Bat-Cat" who lives in Thailand. They show an amazing piece from his Vintage Batman Toy Collection. Now, see that Japanese Batman Tin Toy Robot in the RED color? Well, Bat-Cat says it is probably the only one in the world! Now, that's SUPER-RARE, ha ha! Red is such a weird color for Batman to be wearing. Did they run out of blue at the factory? Either way this thing is beautiful. Thanks to Bat-Cat for sharing the pics. Do you have a favorite piece of bat-merchandise at your house? Send us a photo today!

RARE 1960's Japanese BATMAN on BAT-CYCLE WIND-UP FIGURE - Japan!

Vintage Batman Toy Collectors are gonna totally droll all over these pretty photos!! Here's an extremely RARE piece of Bat-memorabilia from the 1960's that was made in Japan. The Japanese always make extremely cool items but this one is kind of wacky! It's a Batman Wind-Up Figure riding a Bat-Cycle ( actually a tricycle! ) that has a large bell on the back. Some of the pieces are tin metal, while others are celluloid plastic ( very fragile ). There is even a cloth cape, a nice touch. This thing is just completely wonderful!! I really love the vintage graphics & the overall coloring of this item is bizarre! ( Thanks to Ben for sharing the pics with us)

The BATCAT'S Vintage BATMAN Batmobile Tin Car & Toy Collection from Thailand!

The Bat-Blog became friends with a Batman Memorabilia Collector in Thailand known as "The BAT-CAT" & he has one of the very best Vintage Batman Toy Collections I have ever seen! He sent us a few photos to share & they feature just a part of his collection of Vintage 1960's and 1970's Batmobile Tin Toy Cars, a few Ray Guns, & even a Batman Robot or two. Yes! Robots!! Most of the vehicles are from Japan but there's also some from Italy & Argentina. I gotta say that my favorites are the older Japanese Batman Toys. All of them are in really great shape & some of them still have their original box or package. Please take a good look at each picture. They will make you totally cry & drool for days! I think the most unusual piece is the "Batman Cowboy Gun". Made from tin metal, it's extremely RARE & very exotic. BAT-CAT also owns a few Tin Toys of the Original LINCOLN FUTURA Car that the Custom 1966 Batman TV Show Car was based on ( 1st pic ) and that's pretty cool!! I wanna thank Bat-Cat for taking the time to shoot these wonderful pics & let him know that I am totally jealous, ha ha! but all kidding aside, I really appreciate it & you have some amazing stuff here, thanks again!

Video: Japanese Antique Vintage 1970's ALPS Batman and Robin BATMOBILE TIN TOY CAR Battery Operated

Here's a pretty cool video that was featured on an eBay posting ( I always think that's a really great idea to do that ). It's a Japanese ( Vintage 1970's ) ALPS Batman and Robin BATMOBILE TIN TOY that is one of those fun Battery Operated Cars! Now, this is a bootleg toy ( not licensed ) but still, it's a lot of fun & very very RARE! Plus, it's really neat to see it in action, ha!

VINTAGE BATMAN TOY COLLECTION PHOTOS: Magazine Article From Japan!

In the year 2000 ( I love the sound of that, it's like a movie trailer voice-over for an old sci-fi film, ha ha! ) a company in Japan published a magazine that featured the collection of a Major Batman Toy Collector. The cool thing was that it was a total mix-up of many vintage items & then a few more "modern day" pieces. It's just a great reference guide for many extremely RARE Japanese Toys from the 60's & even some cool stuff from the Warner Bros Store, mostly Batman: The Animated Series. When I look at it I see a lot of toys I have, a few things I know about & want, and then even some items that I have never EVER seen before...a great variety! Be sure to click on the photos here for larger versions where you can see all the great Batman Memorabilia in better detail. I swear, you will be drooling for days!!

Here are some really great photos of some amazing vintage 60's BATMAN TOYS from Japan! The 1st photo was sent in by our friend Hans who just recently bought this Batman & Robin Japanese Jigsaw Puzzle. I seriously love the retro graphics & Japanese language...nice! (Thanks Han, cool find). The next few photos are some great examples of Japanese BATMOBILE Tin Toys (OK, The Bat-Jet is plastic. But you get the idea, ha ha!). One of them even has the original box! Ya know, sometimes these things are licensed by DC Comics & other times they are totally bootleg, but I don't care, I LOVE THEM ALL! If any Bat-Blog Readers have some photos they would like to share, of anything Batman, then please send them in today! Our "e-mail Button" is on the top right-hand side of this page, thanks!

MADE IN JAPAN: Vintage 1960's Japanese BATMAN Toys

Oh My God! OK, regular readers of the bat-Blog know that I am totally goo-goo over the 60's Japanese batman Toys, ha ha! Well, here are some amazing examples. The 1st one is a Battery-Operated Tin Toy of a BATMAN TANK, shown in the original box. This is a piece worthy of exhibit at a museum! I seriously love the vintage graphics on the box even though I can understand the Japanese language, at all! The toy is also extremely cool. The next photo are some playing card pieces from an older Menko Game. I really like how the colors are off just enough to avoid copyright laws, ha ha! The last photo are a pair of Batman Books. Ok, they're NOT toys but they are vintage 60's Japan so that's cool!

Cool Vintage 1960's Japanese BATMAN TOYS From Japan!

The BAT-BLOG is ALL about the love of Vintage Batman Toys so when we noticed we had some cool Japanese toys to share, we were psyched! Here's a nice assortment of 1960's Batman Memorabilia from Japan. The 1st photo is a RARE Vintage 60's Tin Toy Car Batmobile. The graphics on this baby are sooo beautiful it almost makes you cry, ha ha. We love the "Radar" on the hood that shows Batman where the Joker & Penguin are hiding. This is one of those friction-driven vehicles....nice! The 2nd picture is of a set of 2 plastic Batman & Robin Lunch Boxes with the original cardboard box it came in. You know just by looking at them that they are Super-RARE! Again, the graphics are extremely cool. We love seeing the Batman Logo in Japanese lettering! The last photo is a cool piece of Bat-Nostalgia even if it is bootleg! This is a Store Display filled with packages of Japan 1966 Batman Sunglasses/Goggles. I would love to have just one package of those but a whole display full...OMG!

BATMAN TIN TOY ROBOTS : Vintage 1960's Japanese & Brand New Custom Toy

Shown in the 1st photo is an original 1960's BATMAN TIN TOY ROBOT from Japan that is a holy grail to all toy collectors. It's shown with the original box, which is probably 100 times more RARE than the actual toy, ha ha!! The 2nd photo is a brand new BATMAN ROBOT Custom Toy made by a friend of the Bat-Blog & being sold on eBay. ( Sorry, By the time you read this it might have already sold ). We are all really impressed with how well-done both the robot toy & box are made. We mean, the head looks exactly like Adam West & the Bat-Belt has some really great detailing...nice job!! Nice Group of Vintage Batman Toys 1960's & 1970's

The BAT-BLOG is mainly about the Joy of Collecting Vintage Batman Toys & recently I have been going off in alot of different directions with the posts ( Tattoos, Original Art, Wallpapers, Humor, etc...) so I thought today I would re-focus on the vintage toys! The 1st pic is a wonderful Vintage 1960's BATMOBILE TIN TOY CAR from JAPAN. I mean, literially from Japan! A loyal reader of the BAT-BLOG sent me this photo & his e-mail was totally Japanese! I had to use some Translation Software just to read it, ha ha! I almost cried when I saw the photo. This thing is Super-RARE & sooo beautiful that it's almost an art masterpiece! It has the original box, which I wish the pic showed more of, but it's still a great photo. Thanx Keijn! The next item is a 1966 BATMAN PAINT-BY NUMBERS that was made by Hasbro & is still shrink-wrapped! The 3rd photo is a nice Corgi BATMAN ON BAT-BIKE Diecast Toy. It's in MINT condition with beautiful stickers on both sides. The last picture is a really RARE BATMAN ROAD RACING SET slot car set made by AHI. It featured 2 slot cars that were the Batmobile with Batman & a Jokercar with the Joker! The graphics on this HUGE box are really wonderful & have that great "vintage look" about them. I hope these awesome vintage toys make-up for the fact that I haven't posted any for a little while. The BAT-BLOG is known for diveristy & that's what we try to do, enjoy! Be sure to check the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES for many other posts about Vintage Batman Toys like Marx, Ideal, Mego, Kenner, etc..

PICTURES of RARE VINTAGE BATMAN TOYS!!

Every now & then, here at the olde BAT-BLOG, we post a few photos of some Super-RARE Vintage Batman Toys just to torture the collectors, LOL! Actually this is a good reference for us to learn about some cool items out there. The 1st pic is a cool Batman Rubber Bendy Doll made by MARX in the 1960's. It's still in the original bag with header card. I love the 60's graphics on this & this baby is super-rare with or without the package! The next beautiful item is a BATPLANE Friction Toy Airplane with Original Box ~ drool, drool. The 3rd Bat-Item picture is a RARE BATMOBILE TIN TOY CAR with RARE Original Box ( this item is an icon & doesn't need any further explanation as to why it's great! ). The last item is, I think, the RAREST of them all! Here's an original 1970's BATMAN STRING-PUPPET with STORE DISPLAY! I can't remember if this was made by Ideal, Mego, or Knickerbocker but it's extremely RARE, especially with the display box!! I hope these have been fun & good luck finding them. Please check the BAT-BLOG ARCHIVES for many more RARE & unusual Vintage Batman Toys!
