Oh man... a friend of mine, named Dave, sent me this photo the other day I think just to torture me, ha ha! He knows how I totally love the Batman "store display" items because of their rarity & beauty! This one is a HUGE Batman Candy Bar Store Display for the recent THE DARK KNIGHT movie promotion with the Hershey's Chocolate company. They made special Kit Kat & Reese's Candy Bars that were a tie-in promo. I seriously love the large header card with the photo of Batman about to punch you out...awesome! Thanks Dave, I hope you got me this thing as a gift!! I'm not sure why the picture is so small here but if you click on it you can see this baby in all it's glory, check it out!!
Keeping up with all the new Batman Merchandise has been kinda fun. I can only imagine what's gonna happen when the movie comes out, it's gonna be THE DARK KNIGHT everywhere you go! Here's a neat TV commercial shown on TV recently. The quality isn't the best but it does give you a good idea of what it looks like. I wanna ask ALL Bat-Blog Readers to please let me know about ANY new Batman products so I can share them here, thanks.
OK, I had to do it, I opened a package! Originally I bought one of the Kit-Kat Candy Bars (with the Dark Knight Batman movie promotion) mainly to keep as a collectible. But knowing that the candy was imprinted with some kind of Batman Logo design, & not knowing what it looked like, drove me totally nuts, ha ha ha! So, I opened one to photograph for the Bat-Blog. Here it is, in all it's glory! It's embossed with the Dark Knight Bat-Symbol & on the inside of the wrapper there's a message from The Joker that says, "Ha, Ha, Ha! I got away with all the Dark Knight prizes - The Joker. Don't frown, play again." Awwww bummer, I wish it would have said, "You are a WINNER!" but that NEVER happens to me. Oh yeah, one more thing for people collecting these: In movie theaters there will be specially packaged MILK DUDS & WHOPPERS with the same Batman graphics, shown in this vinyl advertising banner. Let's just hope they're not $8.00 each or something crazy like that. You know what a rip-off theater food is, ha ha! The last time my wife & I shared a large popcorn & a large coke it was $10.00...OUCH!
OK, Here at the Bat-Blog we have been reporting for awhile on this new "FIND THE BAT-SIGNAL AND WIN" contest/Dark Knight Movie Promotion with Hershey's Chocolate Candy where they will be giving away some TDK prizes! Their official website has been a little late opening up but it's finally online & it was really worth the wait, it's amazing! They finally show a picture of the special Customized "The Dark Knight" MV Augusta F4 Bat-Cycle Motorcycle they will be giving away! It's extremely cool & I would seriously LOVE to win it, ha ha! The other prizes include a Panasonic Home Theater System & some Joker "Henchman" Goon Masks. So, look for specially-marked Reese's Peanut Butter Cups or Kit Kat Candy Bar wrappers with The Dark Knight Batman Movie graphics. Click the Reese's Logo down below to enjoy the page. They also have an area where you can upload your own "Joker Videos".
Our friend Tito Contreras, who I think lives in Columbia, sent us this picture of a Vintage BATMAN BEGINS Movie Candy Bar Display Box. They were made during that film a few years ago by the National Chocolate Company & Tito thinks they will be doing something for The Dark Knight. Let's hope so because "Foreign" Batman Memorabilia is extremely cool! Tito also writes a fan website where he shares his joy of Batman Collecting. It's called "Batiblog De Tito". If you can't read it just try "Babel-Fish Translator", it helps. Otherwise there are some very neat photos to enjoy. Here's a link button:
"You got chocolate in my peanut butter. Oh yeah, You got peanut butter in my chocolate". OK, I bought one of THE DARK KNIGHT Reese's Peanut Butter Cups the other day that is in the shape of the Bat-Logo, ha ha! I had to take a picture to share here because it's kinda funny. They really make it in the shape of a bat! This promotion is gonna be kinda wacky. Hershey's is even having a "FIND THE BAT-SIGNAL AND WIN" Contest. Click on the Reese's Candy Logo for details:

Hershey's Chocolate Company is doing a major promotional tie-in with The Dark Knight Batman Movie where they are having a contest called "FIND THE BAT SIGNAL AND WIN". If for some reason their website doesn't work it's because they're working on it. Come back & try again later. Oh yeah, the news about the contest will appear there on May 15th, 2008.
Here's a picture I blatantly stole from a friend's Batman Fan web page because I think it's kind of cool. Ha Ha, sorry, Jason. Here's some prototype photos showing what the Reese's Pieces candy bar wrapper is gonna look like once THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie is out. It also looks like Batman will be featured on the Kit Kat candy bar too. Below that is a picture showing the "advertising header card" that will probably be a store display. At the bottom of that they show the URL for their site as REESESBATMAN.COM but I checked & the site isn't up yet....stay tuned, we'll let ya know when it does. Oh, my friend's page I stole this picture from actually has a pretty cool blog. Here's the URL, check it out!!
