THE JOKER CUSTOM HONDA MOTORCYCLE Batman-Themed Madness!

I was kinda bored tonight so I surfed around eBay a little bit for some cool Batman Toys...HOLY BAT-BIKE, BATMAN!! Or I guess I should say, "Joker-Bike", ha ha! Here's a completely Customized 2005 Honda RC51 Motorcycle with custom JOKER airbrushed artwork! This thing is totally crazy! Now, I gotta say, I think the airbrush artist did an amazing job. Joker's Face on the side of the bike looks really good, plus all the other details like the Joker Playing Cards & the "Ha Ha Ha" symbols...nice!

Batman Collector Shares a Few Photos of New Merchandise

Here are some photos of a few recent Batman products that are pretty clever. Our friend Chris sent these pics of a few new items he bought. The 1st one is a Batman knitted cap ski-mask you wear & when you pull it down it makes a cowl, awesome! The next 2 photos are a very interesting Batman Bat-Cycle ( or is it Bat-Bike? ) Pillow. It's kinda large & I like that it is also sort of excessively cute. Chris said that one of his favorite details to the motorcycle is that the tire thread looks like the bat-logo shape, a nice touch. Yeah, Chris, Thank you for sending the pics. As a major Batman Fan & Collector it's always great to see what Bat-Merchandise is out there. If any other readers come across brand-new items that are kinda quirky or unusual then please let us know.

THE DARK KNIGHT Movie CUSTOM MV AUGUSTA F4 Batman Motorcycle ( Reese's Hershey's Candy Contest )

Some Bat-Blog Readers might remember awhile back, during "The Dark Knight" movie, we were one of the very very first websites to announce the Hershey's Reese's Chocolate Candy Bar "Win The Bat-Bike" Contest. Well, recently we were contacted by the person who won! Her name is Kathy & she's a Realtor. I can't believe it but she actually won! Here's a few pictures of it in her garage ( Yes, I'm jealous!! ). It's an MV AUGUSTA F4 Motorcycle totally customized with "Dark Knight Batman" graphics. The attention to details is totally insane. They even engraved ( or embossed ) the "Reese's Limited Edition" logo on the handlebars, ha ha! It's really an extremely beautiful batbike & Kathy must be pretty proud to own it. I wanna thank her for contacting us because it's kinda cool to learn who actually won the thing! Thank you Kathy ...Can I borrow it this weekend?

Replica 1966 Batman TV Show Bat-Cycle Sold on eBay!

Here's some pics of an extremely sweet 1966 Bat-Cycle Replica Motorcycle ( Is it Batcycle or Bat-Bike? ) based on the '66 Batman TV Series. This super incredible piece of bat-memorabilia recently sold on eBay Auto Auctions. Now I'm just saying "replica" because if this were the "real deal" you know it would have sold for more than $29,500.00! But even as a replica it's pretty nice & I think it should have sold for way more. The seller had some amazing photos there that I'm sharing here. I like how he got different angles & really shows the Robin Sidecar Go-Kart in detail too. I would totally KILL to own this, ha ha!

Graphic Artist Creates a Custom 1966 Batman TV Show-Inspired Bell Motorcycle Bat-Helmet!

Oh man, you just have to look at the photos of this to believe it! A good friend of the Bat-Blog, named Rob, recently created this 1966 Batman TV Show-Inspired Motorcycle Helmet & it's now available (this week only) on eBay. It's a Vintage BELL STAR Ltd. II Racing Helmet that is totally custom-painted with NO decals or stickers. The detailing is totally insane! In fact, it took him a little over a month to create this masterpiece of art! Now one thing you might notice right away is the highly-stylized visor. It was custom painted to match the rest of the helmet & has a Bat-shaped viewing area. It opens up & down plus snaps into place with a click. But don't worry, when closed, this cool Bat-Helmet has great visibility! The other great design elements are all the custom-painted graphics from the '66 TV Series. On the front forehead area is the Classic TV Batman Bat-Symbol Logo. I really like the details here, very nice! On both sides of the helmet you can see the punching-sound words, "POW! & ZAP!". There is also an image of Batman on the very back that shows him looking over his cape & wearing the famous cowl. Words & pictures alone can not describe how incredibly cool this thing is & I know that many Batman Fans & Motorcycle Enthusiasts are gonna go totally nuts over this!! I mean, even if you don't have a motorcycle it's still great for display, ha ha! Plus, it's an original one-of-a-kind item that nobody else is gonna have. Custom Bat-Bike: GEORGE BARRIS KUSTOMS BAT-KRUISER Bicycle By Nirve

Recently, a bicycle company called NIRVE hired Barris Kustoms to design a special edition bat-bike called The BATT-KRUISER! Now of course we're talking about the designer George Barris who created the famous 1966 Batmobile Car for the Batman TV Series. If you check out the details you can see the inspiration here. Mainly the black paint job with the red pin-striping....AWESOME! It costs around $370 dollars which isn't too bad for the great quality. Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Superfriends Batman Action Figure Gift Set : Target Exclusive

Here's a new Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Superfriends item to keep an eye out for. This Gift Set is a Target Store Exclusive so you can only find it there. It retails for about $30 & that's a pretty good deal for what you get. So, don't pay the idiot scalper prices you see on eBay, ha ha! Once they restock their stores it should be around. I have pictures of almost all the figures & vehicles included but couldn't find a decent picture of the Robin figure & his special Motorcycle Bat-Bike. The other action figures include: The Joker, Mr. Freeze, & 2 different Batman. The vehicles are great too! They include: Bat-Copter, Bat-Wing Jet, & the Joker Car. I'm gonna be looking for one of these because as a multiple set it's really cool!

POPULAR MECHANICS Interviews The Designer of The Dark Knight's Bat-Pod Motorcycle

Over at the Popular Mechanics Magazine website a reporter, named Erin Scottberg, interviews Nathan Crowley, the production designer for The Dark Knight Batman movie. The main focus was the creation of the Bat-Pod motorcycle & the problems they had maneuvering a bike with such HUGE tires! Pretty interesting.

HOT WHEELS 1966 BATGIRL BAT-CYCLE Motorcycle SDCC Prototype Photos From Mattel

There are leaked rumors that in 2008 Mattel will have a Special 1/50th Scale Hot Wheels Bat-Vehicle that will be an exclusive at the next San Diego Comic Con event (SDCC). It's gonna be the BATGIRL BAT-CYCLE! Of course we all know this as the motorcycle used by Barbara Gordon in the 1966 Batman TV Show. I hope they sell it separately but the rumor is that they will make a special "Three-Pack" that will also include the 1966 Batman Bat-Cycle & Batmobile (The same ones that they have already released in stores, 1:50 scale). THE New DARK KNIGHT BATMAN Bat-Pod Toy Reminds Me of...

Anybody who grew up during the 1970's had, or knew a kid that had, the Evel Knievel Stunt Show Bike Playset!! This vintage toy is a certified classic! It was made by Ideal & basically it was a toy motorcycle with "action figure" doll of Evel Knievel that had a special hand-crank launcher. You locked the bike into it, gave a few cranks, hit a button, & zzzoooommm! off it went! I had one as a kid & played with it for many hours. It was a highly successful toy line in the 70's & was even recently reproduced. OK, this brings me to the photo of the new Batman Bat-Pod Batcycle toy ( from the Dark Knight movie )you see in the photo. Notice any resemblance?! I have 2 nephews & I know I'm gonna have to get them one of these, it looks very cool! Of course I'm gonna have to get me one too, Mint In Box of course!

New 2008 Hot Wheels 1:50 Scale 1966 TV Show Bat-Cycle Batman Bike

Here's a prototype photo showing the NEW Hot Wheels Batman Bat-Cycle ( Large, 1:50 Scale ) that will be released by Mattel later this year. Of course this is the Classic Bat-Bike motorcycle with sidecar used by Adam West & Burt Ward in the vintage 1966 Batman TV Show. Oh my God, it's beautiful! Remember, in the TV series, the side-car would come off by itself so Robin could go in another direction as a go-kart-like ride. The great thing about this being issued is that it's a bat-vehicle you don't see that often. I mean, the only toy of this that comes to mind is the vintage 60's model kit by Aurora & then later a more recent version by Polar Lights. Which, by the way, are some very cool model kits I can highly recommend. Let's all hope that later they do the Bat-Copter, the Customized Bell Helicopter from the 1966 movie, that would be very cool! This photo should make Vintage Batman Toy Collectors drool for days!! This is a Super-RARE "Don Carmelo Bat-Bike" motorcycle with sidecar in the original box. This is a RARE foreign toy made in Argentina. The coloring ( solid red ) is not totally accurate but the over-all design is beautiful! It's supposed to be like the Bat-Bike from the 1966 Batman TV Show with Adam West & Burt Ward...Sweet! Be sure to click on the picture above for a very large, more detailed, photo. New Batman & Joker Photos From THE DARK KNIGHT Movie

Wow! When I opened my e-mail this morning I was shocked by this awesome set of photos! Thank you Dave, thank you very much, these are great!!! The 1st one shows a nice example of what the Bat-Cave is gonna look like. I like the way the Bat-Costume is displayed behind Christian Bale ( Bruce Wayne ). Plus, it's nice to see Micheal Caine as Alfred again, indeed. The 2nd pic is a GREAT photo of Heath Ledger as The Joker. One of the best so far! The 3rd photograph shows the BAT-POD Bat-Bike in action...love it! The last of the pix features Batman resting on a balcony in Gotham City. It really shows the new Bat-Costume in a lot of sharp detail...nice!! Thanks again Dave, these are seriously cool!!

Batman Wallpaper for a MySpace Layout or Desktop

OK, regular BAT-BLOG readers know the drill. Every Wednesday here at the BAT-BLOG we publish 2 fresh Batman-Themed Wallpapers you can use in a MySpace Layout or to brighten your desktop. This week we decided to include these two. The 1st one is a Custom Batman Chopper Motorcycle that was made for some super-lucky rich person ( not made for any movie or anything ). I wish I knew who did it, to give them props, but whoever they were they did an incredible job on it...it's sweet! The 2nd wallpaper is a "Behind-The-Scenes" photo at the filming of the original 1966 Batman TV Series showing Burt Ward & Adam West in action. BATMAN JONES Classic 1950's Comic Book Cover!

In the 1950's DC Comics created a very short lived character named BATMAN JONES. I mean, very short, like only one issue, Batman #108. But the funny thing is that this guy has recently become sort of a cult figure among Batman Fans. I think it has to do with his cool customized bicycle! The basic story is this newspaper delivery boy was so engrossed with Batman, from reading alot of news stories of his adventures, that he became sort of a Junior Crimefighter & created the Bat-Bike & Batman Costume. Here at the BAT-BLOG we love this guy!
