NEW BATMAN TOYS: DC Universe Fighting Figures by Mattel

OK, Long time Bat-Blog Readers will remember that a few months back we were hyping the news that Mattel was gonna come out with some really amazing mini-action figures called BATTLEAGUE. The name was sort of like "Battle" & Justice "League" combined. The prototype photos looked incredible! We were excited because there were gonna be a ton of Batman-related characters: Batman, Robin, Catwoman, The Joker, Two-Face, The Penguin, Riddler, etc...Mattel had set a release-date but when that time came there was nothing in stores. Then there was NO news at all. I mean, I'm pretty connected, & I couldn't find out anything AT ALL. It's as if Mattel shut down! OK, The figures have finally made it to Toys-R-Us but it's being done almost secretly. Plus, they changed the name of the product line from Battleague to DC Universe Fighting Figures. I liked "Battleague" better, ha ha. But, the figures are pretty cool. They measure just a few inches tall ( way bigger than Heroclix ) & are sculpted/painted quite well. They're in action poses that are pretty cool. The details are nice & it's cool to see some obscure Batman characters. The pictures I have posted here show the packaging & a few figures. Let's hope these do well enough that they keep making them because at one time there were plans on doing vehicles too. They had a prototype-Batmobile that looked awesome. They retail for about $8.00 which isn't bad for 2 of these figures. I think they look great & plan to buy as many as I can get. The next time you're at Toys-R-Us take a look at them. I think you'll like them too.

DC BATTLEAGUE Batman Action Figures Game By MATTEL

Whatever happened to the new line of toys called DC BATTLEAGUE?? I just got done researching on the internet for quite awhile & have found no answers. A few people have said they have spotted them at Toys-R-Us & even seen them on eBay but I checked both sites & nothing! There's not even any reports of these figures being canceled by Mattel, very weird! If ANYONE has some information about this please let me know. For people who have not heard of them yet Mattel plans on having a new game with mini-figures ( not tiny like Heroclix ) of many of the DC Comics Superheroes. There's suppose to be a ton of Batman characters like Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, etc...Mattel presented these at the 2007 Toy Fair & they were should have been released already, like last July. These figures look really incredible & it woud be a total shame if they were not put out....strange!

2 FREE Batman BATMOBILE Desktop Wallpapers

Every Wednesday is "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" at the BAT-BLOG. Today we thought we would go with a Batman Batmobile theme! The 1st photo was sent to us by a loyal BAT-BLOG reader in Ohio named Gabe who's friend saw this 1966 TV Show Batmobile replica car at a shopping mall in Ohio! NEW 2007 Batman Toys: BATTLEAGUE Action Figures Game By Mattel

DC Comics BATTLEAGUE Game Action Figures MATTEL

This 2007 there's gonna be a new game in town called DC Comics BATTLEAGUE by Mattel. I'm not quite sure if I wanna play the action-adventure game but I do love the figures! They are sort of like HEROCLIX but wayyy bigger. Plus the boxes they come in will convert to buildings. They are also gonna have a few vehicles like the Batmobile. They're really very well detailed & they're also gonna make alot of the Batman-Related Characters too like Batman, Robin, Penguin, Joker, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Two-Face, Riddler, etc...I have seen about 3 versions of Joker so it sounds like they're gonna go nuts with the assortments.
