A few friends to the Bat-Blog all went crazy sending me the link to websites where you can download ( for FREE! ) the DEMO to the brand-new BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game. I wanna personally thank everyone who sent me the links. If the Bat-Blog is any good at all it's because of it's amazing readers & the way they contribute...I sincerely mean that, thanks! I have not downloaded this game yet & plan on doing so later tonight, I can't wait!! Oh yeah, almost forgot ( ha ha! ), here's the link to it: CLICK HERE!
Here's the latest promo trailer for the BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game I posted on YouTube last night. The game is scheduled to be released on August 25th, 2009 & I can't wait!! It just looks so AWESOME!
A new friend to the Bat-Blog, named Fred Grandinetti, just wrote an article for the "Movie Collector’s World" Magazine website. He did a piece in issue #734, August 2009 ) on the "The Three faces of The 60's Catwoman" from the 1966 Batman TV Series. Of course we all know them as Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, & Eartha Kitt. It's a very interesting read & at the end of this post we have a link to it. Also, if you're really into Vintage Movie Posters you might check out a few other features at the site. Basically, the entire web page is totally devoted to movie collectibles, pretty interesting stuff. I wanna thank Fred for sending me the link, plus let him know he did a really great job on the article ( Thanks Fred ). You can visit the site by clicking HERE!
OK, Last night I was in sort of a "Batman: The Animated Series" mood & decided to create these 2 Wallpaper Backgrounds you can use to brighten your desktop, ha ha! The 1st one features some wonderful production art of THE PENGUIN. It's from an original animation cel from the classic cartoon. The 2nd one is made from some original art that is owned by a friend ( The BATFAN ) who hired the artist Gary Shipman to make a portrait of Batgirl, Batman, & Robin. It's done using a monochromatic color palette of all black, white, & grey...it's pretty cool! I hope you enjoy these but if not remember we have hundreds more you can see by just visiting the Bat-Blog Archives ( located at the bottom left-side of this page, click on any "month" ).
This photo is of an extremely cool Batgirl Action Figure owned by a Bat-Blog Reader named Neville. In his e-mail he sort of explained that he just recently got it & it's a favorite figure of his. Well, I gotta agree. It is pretty awesome! Now to clarify, this figure is made by DC Direct & it's a character from the ELSEWORLD'S FINEST Graphic Novel by DC Comics. Now you might be saying to yourself that this doesn't quite look like the Batgirl you know & love. OK, the thing with the "Elseworlds Series" is that they do a lot of "what if..." stories that don't really exist in continuity with the regular line of comic books. For example with this story both Batman & Superman never existed. Well, Superman sort of did but died right after leaving Krypton & arriving in Earth. This story's main focus is with this new set of Supergirl & Batgirl characters. To be honest I have not read this book yet so I can't quite say if it's any good or not. But I'm assuming it was pretty decent because they made a few action figures of it. Thanks to Neville for sending the cool pic, that's really great!
This new promo video from Eidos for their new BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game just came out & I seriously can't wait to play this game, it looks soooo AWESOME! Enjoy the trailer : )
Here's an extremely cool photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Reader named Bob. ( Click on the above picture for a larger, more detailed, version ). He recently bought this 1960's Style Batmobile Car! He said it was made by some guy in the 60's & is actually a 1958 Corvette body. It only has 8019 original miles because it's mainly been stored for 30 years. Plus, the funny thing, is that the title to the car actually says "BATCAR"...that's GREAT! ( Thank you Bob for sending the photo & sharing your wonderful story, I appreciate that. Oh yeah, and if I'm ever in your neck of the woods, then I want a ride in this thing, ha ha! )
