A good friend to the Bat-Blog, known as The BATFAN, sent us these 2 photos of a piece of original comic book art he has in his collection. It's from the DC Comics' SHADOW OF THE BAT # 87 comic book & is the splash page that went across pages 12 & 13. One picture is a scan of the actual comic book & the other is the original inked artwork...very cool! Be sure to click on each of the photos up above for larger, more detailed, versions. The pencils were drawn by Mike Deodato Jr &, at the moment, I totally forgot who did the inks, ha ha, sorry about that. If any other readers have any drawings, sketches, or other art ( that is Batman-related ) then please send it in to us. The Bat-Blog is all about sharing the love of the Batman character in all its many different variations. I also wanna thank BATFAN for sending this in, that's very cool!
An art student named Henrique did this amazing CGI animation video as a lip sync test. He chose The Joker from The Dark Knight Batman movie to do it. It uses Heath Ledger's voice & it's kinda cool that he made the interrogation room so accurate too.
For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" I thought I would help hype the new episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Animated TV Series. It comes out this Friday, January 16th, at 8:00 PM, 7:00 Central, on the Cartoon Network. It's gonna have Kamandi, Speedy, Green Arrow, & Dead Man as the superheroes. The main villain will be Gentleman Ghost...I can't wait! Be sure to check the next post for video clips from the new episode.
This week's episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD is titled "Dawn of the Dead Man!” ( Episode 7 ) guest stars Smallville’s Michael Rosenbaum ( Lex Luthor ) as “Dead Man” and airs this Friday, January 16th on the Cartoon Network at 8:00 PM, 7:00 Central. Deadman and Batman team up as spirits to stop Gentleman Ghost from raising an army of undead criminals. Green Arrow and Speedy Thief join in the battle to save London. Plus, everybody is excited about this show because the early teaser will be Batman and Kamandi as they battle a horde of monsters from the future...it sounds awesome!

Batman, the Dark Knight, has changed a lot since his premier in 1939. This fan-made video is a tribute to see how much Batman has evolved. Basically it's a montage of photos from the different eras, pretty interesting!
My friend Billy knows I am goo-goo over the new Batman toys so he sent me some pics from Target the other night shot with his iPhone. I'm sort of amazed by the quality. Anyways, we have been reporting about the new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Cartoon Toys that are coming out & they're already starting to show up in stores. So Billy sent these 2 pix of action figures we didn't have pix of yet. ( Side Note: to view ALL info on these B&B toys just click on the "Brave and The Bold" word in the labels area down below ). One is the "Super Saber Batman", it's a figure by itself. Then there's the "CYBER-TANK" Vehicle Playset. It comes with a Batman & Blue Beetle action figure all packaged in a cool window box. The Cyber-Tank is sort of like a Transformers figure where it is both a vehicle & a "Batman suit" all at the same time. I love the retro-design of it too, pretty awesome! In fact I'm really liking the design of most of the Brave & The Bold stuff I have been seeing but the main problem is Mattel is going to be going so extremely overboard with this stuff that we will all need 2nd jobs to afford it all, ha ha!
