BATMAN HOTROD CAR Resin Model Kit Design

The other day a friend reminded me of a wonderful website called SUGAR FROSTED GOODNESS. It's a site for "Graphic Design Nerds" ( I mean that in a good way, ha ha ) who appreciate good design in the skills of graphic & commercial art. It's also a neat page for visual eye-candy. While there I discovered a Graphic Artist / Illustrator named Chris Parks. He's from Wichita, Kansas & his main focus are corporate logos. He also likes to dabble in vinyl toy designs & came up with this amazing "Hot Rod Car" resin model kit featuring...Batman!!

Here's a photo of the model kit completed...

And here's another photo of the packaging & another "paint variation" on the kit. I Actually like the 2nd one better! Mainly because the colors of Batman are more like the "comic book version". Click on it to see a larger, more detailed, photo. I also love the graphics on the box. They look a lot those "Weird-O's Hot Rod Model Kits" from the 1960's. Especially the font design...nice!

Here's a link to check out his official interview. He does some very cool stuff so you might like just looking at the artwork, ha ha!

CATWOMAN CUSTOM ART : Resin Model Kit & Adobe Illustrator Graphic

Included in this post are 2 really great examples of custom Catwoman artwork. The 1st post is a custom-made resin model kit of a Sexy Catwoman...MEOW! I found this while crusin' the net looking for Batman resin kits. This baby is a beautiful masterpiece of ART! I have totally lost the name of the artist & the URL of the website but if you're interesting in purchasing it I can hunt it down for you. The 2nd picture is one done by a friend of mine using, I think, Adobe Illustrator. It's a graphic of Catwoman's face, very minimal, & very well done. Thanks for sharing the picture Rob, great job! If ANY Bat-Blog readers have examples of Bat-Art then please e-mail them to us, we love to share our passion for the Batman characters here.

TWO-FACE Batman Custom Resin Model Kit

Here's a really cool picture I found on the web awhile back. It's from a company named Spyda Creations & they specialize in Resin Model Kits. Here's one that is an art bust of TWO-FACE. I forget the URL but a quick Google search should get their web page. They're very well known company in the resin model kit community.

Batman Custom Garage Resin Model Kits

While surfing the net the other day I came across a very nice webpage simply titled GARAGE KITS that was totally dedicated to custom resin model kits. Anyone who has checked out some of these knows they're very expensive but many of the sculptors are really great artists. Here's some examples: The 1st picture is a resin kit made by a company called BROTHERS IN RESIN. This is almost a statue. It shows a battle between Batman & Superman. Can you imagine what this would look like when painted & done? They did an incredible job on this. ( Be sure to click the photos above for larger, more detailed, pictures! ) The 2nd one is a BUST OF BATMAN done by FIGURALIA. The details are extremely well-done, very realistic ...ya gotta love this one! The 3rd example is a resin model kit ( shown finished & painted ) of a full figure Batman Statue made by SPYDA CREATIONS. It kind of reminds me of a 1970's Neal Adams version of Batman with the classic blue/grey suit with yellow logo. I also love that belt with the yellow capsules, my favorite version of Batman!! You can visit the GARAGE KITS website for more eye candy & possibly order some of these, if they're not sold out!
