OK, check out these wonderful photos. Here is the Cutest Little Batman Fan in the whole wide world!! Her name is Sophia & her proud Father sent us these great pics yesterday. This year, for Halloween ( and probably the whole year, ha ha ), she is going to be Batgirl & she's shown here in her Batman T-Shirt Costume. It's really really cool & even has a cape on the back! Oh man, look at that pretty smile. She is so adorable!! Many Bat-Blog Readers have recently been sharing their Batman-related Halloween photos & it's really fun! I have a friend on Facebook named Gene who posted this amazing photo the other day ( and you guys know how I totally love vintage family pics ). Well, Gene was really BATMAN back in the 1960's & if you don't believe me then here's some photographic proof! He's shown here in his costume & it looks really cool! This was the 1966 Batman Helmet & Cape Set by Ideal Toys... ya gotta love it!! ( Thanks Gene ). I know we have featured this Classic 60's Batman Toy here before but this one is special because it's a recent find of a Bat-Blog Fan who got lucky at an Antique & Collectibles Store. It's the Official 1966 BATMAN HELMET & CAPE made by Ideal! He told us he found this thing at a shop for $25.00! The box isn't totally perfect but still pretty nice for display. The neat thing about it was that it came complete with both the helmet & cape in great shape! Plus, did I say 25 bucks! ( Thanks for sharing the pics ). I want to invite all Bat-Blog Readers to send us photos of your cool finds. They can be Older Vintage Items like this or something you just bought at the store tonight. Remember: Sharing the love of collecting Batman Toys is the main function of the crazy Bat-Blog!
Here's a Vintage Family Photo sent in by our good friend Chip Kidd. Now, this is not "Chip when he was a small child", ha ha! No, it's just a photo that a friend sent to him because it is Batman & then he sent to us. WOW! This photo is extremely beautiful, both in subject matter AND quality! Because of the style of the Batman Superhero Halloween Costume, & the fashion of the clothing worn by Alfred, The Butler ( OK, probably his father or Grandfather, ha ha! ), I would guess it's from the early 1960's. So, the fact that it looks even older is pretty cool. I mean it looks Vintage 40's at least! Maybe it's the fact that it's Black & White or maybe because the architectural details are sort of European-looking. But the costume having the "Yellow Oval Bat-Symbol" on the chest is a dead give-away that's it's at least 1960's. Anyways, thank you to Chip Kidd for sending this wonderful photo, I really appreciate that & know everybody will love this cool pic! Now, If any other Bat-Blog Readers have similar "Batman Halloween Costume" photos then I am inviting them to send them in too!
