Last Sunday comic book artist Mike Wieringo, known to friends as "Ringo", passed away at his home. He had a major heart attack at the very young age of 44. He's best known for his work on Marvel's Fantastic Four but he also did a stint at DC Comics drawing the Robin comic book. Friends of mine who knew him always said he was very down-to-earth & an extremely nice guy. This is also how many people remember him. It's nice to know that besides being a very talented artist he was also a great person, he will be missed. Our thoughts go out to his family. ( The 1st picture up above is a self-portrait, which we thought was fitting for such a wonderful artist. It really looks like him a lot! ).
