Here's a quick post to share this wonderful photo of a friend's Son. I love this Batman Costume & it really takes you back to how fun it was to be a little kid. Now, I can't share his secret identity but he is... THE DARK KNIGHT!!
Here's an extremely wonderful photo sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named David. It shows his beautiful one month old Son Mason sporting one of the onesies that Mason's Mom picked up from Kmart. The great thing, it's made to look like a Batman Bat-Suit Costume! Thank you David for sharing this very sweet family moment. Your Mason IS a true Superhero!! I mean, "He is The Dark Knight!"
This is just a quick post to share this very recent photo from Adam West ( TV Actor, 1966 Batman ). It shows the latest addition to the West Family, a beautiful Black Poodle named Louis. This Dog appears to be very regal & I'm sure he will be a wonderful companion. Congrats Mr. West!
Here's a wonderful family portrait sent in by our friend Stuart. It shows him & his family all dressed-up in Batman T-Shirts. Now how cool is that?! They are ALL Super Batman Fans!! Here are his 2 beautiful children, Max and Dena, and their Grandpa Eddie ( his dad ). I totally love this picture, thanks for sending it Stu. If any other Bat-Blog Fans want to share pics like this then please do. Sharing the love of the Batman character is what this blog is all about!
I really love getting cool Batman-related pictures like this! A Bat-Blog Fan named Sam was kind enough to share a vintage family photo he has of him & his younger brother from the 1960's. Of course he is wearing the famous BATMAN COMIC BOOK LOGO T-shirt! How awesome is that?! I told Sam that I had that exact same T-Shirt when I was a little kid ( they must have sold millions of them ). These came out around the time of the 1966 TV Show. Thanks Sam for sending this wonderful personal photo, it's great! If any other readers out there have anything similar to share then please send it in. Our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page.
OK, This is a really really great, very heart warming, story! This photo is of the Hughes Family who live in the UK. They recently sent us this picture. Now at first I thought they had dressed-up for Halloween ( Do they have Halloween in England? ) but they did not. To help explain everything I'm just going to quote the letter they sent & it will give you a way better idea. Here it is: The reason we were all dressed up was because my Mum hadn't been feeling very well, she is disabled and gets very down a lot. So we thought we would cheer her up by dressing up and going out in broad daylight to see her. My Mother had never seen us dressed like this before, but she has heard that my husband Richard loves Batman and owns a Bat-Suit. My Mother has never laughed so hard and we got so many strange looks from people on the drive over there! Batman with his mask on in the car, with a little Batman and two Joker villains...Yes, very funny!
I agree! Yes, Very funny indeed! See, I told you it would be a great story!! This is completely wonderful! I wanna thank the Hughes Family for sharing their photos. It's great that good things like this still happen from time to time. I bet your Mum will NEVER forget that special day, ha! If any other Bat-Blog Readers have similar events to share then please do. Send us some pics & your story!
The Bat-Blog is very proud to announce a brand-new member of the Hughes Family, Baby Batgirl! Her name is Brooke & she was born on January 8th, 2010. This precious photo was sent in because it shows off her homemade "Little Batgirl Baby Blanket" with the special pink bat-logo. It's so cute & she's just complete adorable!! Brooke is a wonderful gift. I want to send my most sincere best wishes to the Hughes Family at this time, Congratulations!!
Awhile back I discovered a very interesting webcomic that, at the time, I meant to share because it's actually kind of cool & the drawing style is really excellent. But, being busy with this site, I sort of forgot about it. Then later a friend mentioned it to me & I was like, oh yeah, that is a cool site. I have to say something about it. But then I couldn't find it ( I have like 4 million bookmarks, ha ha ). Then I got busy & forgot about it again. Well, just recently a Bat-Blog Reader wrote me about it, asking if I had ever heard of a site called BATMAN AND SONS. He sent a link. When I got there I laughed & thought, OK, I have to report it now...so, finally, here it is! ( Thanks to Jim for re-reminding me! ) Now it's sort of a high-concept kinda thing & to get into it you have to release all the preconceived feelings you have about the Batman character. Basically, you just have to sort of go with it! The idea is that Batman is a Father & all the Robin characters through the years are his small children. There's even a tiny baby who is the "Batman Beyond" character. I guess you can say it's a little bit like a TV Family Sitcom. Yes, see, I said it was kinda weird. But once you start to read it the thing sort of grows on you. Now, I'm assuming that some people will think it's charming & others ( mainly uptight crybabies ) won't like it at all. It reminds me a lot of the recent DC Comics title "Tiny Titans", where all the characters are small children. I don't know. Please check it out & let me know what you think about it. Here's a link, just click HERE!

The other day I posted a photo of myself ( maybe age 4 or 5? ) wearing a Vintage Batman & Robin T-Shirt. So, sort of in response to that, a Bat-Blog Reader named JEFF sent us these 2 photos to share of himself wearing a Robin, The Boy Wonder, costume! Now obviously it's the "1966 Batman TV Show" version. We're talking "Burt Ward" action here folks! His Mother made this for him & I always think that homemade costumes are usually better than store bought ones. They usually have more attention to detail & another reason I like them more is because they're made out of love, aaaahhhh. Now, this one is really great!! It's got the mask, the cape, & the top part even has a collar attached...Jeff, please tell your Mom she did a super-great job on this! Plus, I seriously love these old vintage photos like this. They are totally priceless, thank you Jeff. One last thing that's pretty interesting too is that Jeff still has this costume today! Yes, wow, he says that when his 2 year old gets a little bigger then he can wear it too. Now, that's a wonderful story.
OK, every now & then I get people asking me, "How long have you been a total Batman Fanatic?" Well, I guess the answer would be "over 40 years". I mean, I am 45 & have been a HUGE Bat-Fan since the age of 2! Every holiday, when the whole family gets together, they always make fun at how I was totally crazy about Batman as a little kid. My Aunt loves to tell the story about how my Nanny ( her Mother ) made me a Custom Batman Cape & I used to totally live in it, ha ha! Yeah, the story gets kinda old but it's always nice to hear. Now, regular Bat-Blog Readers might have read about when my Grandmother died recently. It took my Aunt a long time to get the courage to "deal with the house". Mainly because it was so haunting to go in there & be totally reminded of her. I can completely understand & respect that. It must have been really difficult. Well, she finally got around to going through her things & I told her that Nanny had a photo of me wearing a Batman T-Shirt and, if I could, I would really like to have it. It was an old black & white photo that hung on her bedroom wall, like forever. Well, she said it wasn't there anymore ( she's still trying to find it ). But, while going through a drawer she found this one still in the original metal frame. It's a color photo & I have NEVER seen it before. I really laughed when I saw it. Plus, if you look closely, I'm wearing a bootleg "Batman & Robin" T-Shirt. Now, how cool is that!? I'm also wearing my Grandfather's military hat he wore during WWII. I loved it & used to wear it all the time.
I had to post this photo because this kid is so super-cool!! In fact, he ROCKS! I mean, he's a Batman Fan & you can't get any cooler than that!! Actually, it's our friend Paul's Grandkid but I still think it's a great picture ( I Love The Bat-Symbol T-Shirt! ) & I do think the kid is very cool. Paul also sent us some amazing pics of a few pieces from his Batman Collection. They're really great & you won't wanna miss 'em! ( Thanks Paul ) We'll post those later so everybody keep an eye out.
Just a quick post to show off this super-awesome photo of our friend Tony! He's shown here dressed up like Batman, with his lovely Wife as Batgirl ( Or is it BatWOMAN? ), & their Precious Child, Robin, The Boy Wonder! Looks like the whole family got in on the act...that's great! Thanks for sharing the fun pic Tony. You're a lucky guy. If any other Bat-Blog Readers have wacky Batman-related photos to share then please send them in today!
Here's an extremely amazing vintage family photo from a new friend of mine named Jim. This is him, & another kid, wearing some 1960's Batman Halloween Costumes. Also, the super-great thing about this picture ( besides being very cool ) is that he is wearing the 1966 Ideal Batman Utility Belt...Yes! Oh My God!! I wanna thank Jim for sharing these pictures, they're seriously GREAT! I also want to invite any other readers out there who have cool pics like this to please share them. Ya know, the Bat-Blog is totally about the joy of the Batman Character & photos like this just totally shine...thanks ( Be sure to click on the above photo for a larger, more sharp, version...you'll be glad you did! ).
Who's the cutest Little Batman & Little Batgirl in the whole-wide world? You two children are, Yes you are! Ha Ha, I really love getting family photos like this sent to me. These 2 little kids are so sweet & cute. This is Max & Dena wearing their Batman and Batgirl T-Shirts! Now, Max has been on the Bat-Blog before, so he's already had his 15 minutes of fame, but this is the first time for Miss Dena & NOW she is the star too! Thank you to the proud parents for sending us this pic, it's wonderful. They are so cute.
I have a good friend who is known as "Weezee Mule" over at the 1966 Batman Message Board ( his real name is Mike ). It's a nickname he uses & every single time I read it I totally crack-up, ha ha! The other day he sent me some really wonderful photos of his personal Batman Toy Collection, which is completely insane ( there's a ton of great stuff ), & I plan on posting those later, but for right now I wanted to showcase one photo that was sort of different & kind of stood out on it's own. These are his 2 family dogs dressed up like Batman & Robin! I love the expression on their canine faces. They seem sort of embarassed a little bit, ha ha! But they look pretty cool in their outfits & the photo is extremely funny. Now, I did mention he has an awesome toy collection & I'll be sharing those later. You won't want to miss those so please be sure to visit us again real soon for those. Also, I wanna thank Mike for sending all the great pics, I really appreciate that Mr. Weezee Mule!
A good friend to the Bat-Blog, named Brian, told me his son is Batman. I didn't believe him at first but then he showed me this photographic proof, right here! WOW! He is Batman!! He is the Caped Crusader, The Dark Knight! Sorry I didn't believe you Brian & thanks for sharing the awesome photo, this kid is super-cool!

Yesterday, a very good friend to the Bat-Blog named "BatJoe", got to see the original 1966 Batman Batmobile Car with his kids at a "Cruising The Drag" Annual Car Show in Great Falls, Montana! The 2 pieces of photographic proof show "BatJoe" with his kids next to the car & another one where he is IN the car! Now, I know from personal experience that once you sit in an original Batmobile that you never NEVER want to get out! He said that when the kids saw the car they totally freaked out, ha ha! That's awesome!! I would have loved to have seen the expression on their faces. I bet their eyes popped outta their heads, ha ha! It sounds like everyone had a great time. Thank you very much BatJoe for allowing us to share these pics, they're very very cool. As always, I gotta remind readers that if they have any fun "Batman Experience" photos to share then please do! Our wacky e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page, thanks!
