Alright, I thought I'd share some news on a few brand-new unusual BATMAN: THE BRAVE & THE BOLD products that are out there now. The 1st one is an EASTER EGG DECORATING KIT that was sold at Toys-R-Us. Now, how did this piece of merchandise get by me? I never knew they made it until later. I'm not sure if they're still out there ( maybe on clearance? ) but I hope they release them again next year. It's not really a big deal but the graphics are kinda cool. Now speaking of graphics, the next product is loaded with great images from the TV cartoon! It's a "Provo Craft Cricut Batman Activity Shape Cartridge". This cartridge contains images of Batman, Green Arrow, the Blue Beetle, Aquaman, Red Tornado, and The Joker, along with an action-style font that would be ideal for your child's room, homemade comics, or scrapbook pages. You can also cut out an exciting assortment of party supplies, such as costume pieces, party favors, gift boxes, cards, envelopes, and 3D gadgets that will make your birthday kid feel like a Hero. I gotta say that I totally love those 2 Batman & Joker Paper Toy Figures in the pic, they're very cool! But I don't think I'll be buying this because to use the cartridge ( which is around 50 bucks ) you gotta have a special Cricut Machine. It's basically a "printer & shape-cutter" all built into one. They have different models & the cheapest one is around $120.00. Now on eBay you can buy a used one for around 60 dollars, but the whole package is sort of too expensive for me. But if you're an Arts & Crafts person who already has this machine then the cartridge is pretty cool. I've supplied a link down below for where to buy one.
Just a quick post to let "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" Cartoon Fans know that there is now a Set of Bedding to purchase. It comes in both Twin & Full Size. You get a Comforter, Top Sheet, Bottom Sheet, & 2 Pillowcases. I'm really loving the graphics on this thing. It features Batman, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, & Red Tornado! I might have to get one for my room, ha ha!

In these Authorized Video Clips from Warner Bros we get to see some action from the next NEW episode of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD! This show is titled "Revenge of The Reach" & the Special Guest Stars will be Blue Beetle & Guy Gardner with the Green Lantern Corps. ( The "Challengers of The Unknown" will be in the guests in the teaser-part of the show ). It will air on January 1st, 2010 on the Cartoon Network. The Basic Plot is: Blue Beetle is finally ready for a mission of his own and things go smoothly until he tries to deliver his captured villain to Oa, where he is attacked by the Green Lanterns! Blue's scarab is revealed to be linked to an army of evil aliens known as the Reach - does he have the power to resist their influence?
Hey Batman Collectors! Be on the look out for this new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD product! It's a package of AIRHEADS CANDY with special bat-graphics! The basic concept is you get this large package that contains 6 individually-wrapped bars of taffy. Each one is a different flavor & has a different character from the cartoon series: Batman, Red Tornado, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, & Plastic Man. Our good friend "Batmobile Billy" sent us a photo from his iPhone recently of his trip to Toys-R-Us in Oklahoma City, OK. It looks like there are some new Mattel BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Action League Figures on the shelves & if you go to Toys-R-Us they have an exclusive "Arch Rivals Battle Pack" with 6 special figures ( Be sure to click on the photo up above for a larger version & it's the package in the middle ). Now, these are the smaller-type action figures that I guess are made for very little kids. But, we adult bat-toy collectors really love these too because they're so gosh darn cute! "Transform from tank to robot!" OK, this is an extremely short video, ha ha, like 30 seconds! But it's an interesting piece of Bat-History because it's an original TV Commercial for the new line of Mattel BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Action Figures. This one features The Blue Beetle & the Cyber-Tank plus the Batman VS Alien Play Set.
Kicking off 13 brand new episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold on the Cartoon Network is an exciting new show titled "Night of The Huntress!", In this episode, Blue Beetle develops a crush on the slightly older and far-more-dangerous femme fatale, The Huntress, but there is little time for love with Baby Face busting his gang out of prison for a major heist! At the famous New York City Comic Con this weekend Mattel showcased a few NEW Batman Toys coming out later in 2009. A brand-new toy line that will have Batman: The Brave and The Bold Fans totally drooling will be these new mini-figures called "DC Minis". It looks like they're gonna make Batman ( 2 or more variations ), Aquaman, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Black Manta, Kanjar Ro, The Atom & maybe a few others. They're also gonna make at least one vehicle ( probably more ) of the Batmobile! Oh man, that Batmobile Car is AWESOME!! This weeks episode is called "THE FALL OF THE BLUE BEETLE" & will star Wil Wheaton ( Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation ) as Ted Kord / Silver Age Blue Beetle. It airs on Friday, January 23rd, at 8:00 pm, 7:00 Central on the Cartoon Network. The Basic Story: Blue Beetle traces his legacy back to the original Blue Beetle, to learn why the Scarab has chosen him to share in it’s powers and become a super hero. The journey leads him to the dangerous Science Island where he battles legions of robots alongside Batman and learns the truth behind Ted Kord’s disappearance.
My friend Billy knows I am goo-goo over the new Batman toys so he sent me some pics from Target the other night shot with his iPhone. I'm sort of amazed by the quality. Anyways, we have been reporting about the new BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Cartoon Toys that are coming out & they're already starting to show up in stores. So Billy sent these 2 pix of action figures we didn't have pix of yet. ( Side Note: to view ALL info on these B&B toys just click on the "Brave and The Bold" word in the labels area down below ). One is the "Super Saber Batman", it's a figure by itself. Then there's the "CYBER-TANK" Vehicle Playset. It comes with a Batman & Blue Beetle action figure all packaged in a cool window box. The Cyber-Tank is sort of like a Transformers figure where it is both a vehicle & a "Batman suit" all at the same time. I love the retro-design of it too, pretty awesome! In fact I'm really liking the design of most of the Brave & The Bold stuff I have been seeing but the main problem is Mattel is going to be going so extremely overboard with this stuff that we will all need 2nd jobs to afford it all, ha ha!
Finally! Mattel just released some new images revealing the packaging design for their upcoming Batman: Brave and the Bold figure line. Slated to hit retail this January, each figure will star Snap and Switch technology allowing fans to reconfigure each figure's accessories into multiple gadgets on different plug-in points. Batman's jet pack becomes his battle armor, or instead, plug it into Blue Beetle to arm an ally. Snap and Switch features even work across the line letting you reconfigure vehicle parts as well...AWESOME! Also, remember that this TV Show is on the Cartoon Network every Friday, check your local listings for air time.
The Cartoon Network will start the new animated series BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD on November 14th ( Friday, 7:30pm ) & there are major plans for a ton of new Batman merchandise tied into the TV Show. Which, is extremely awesome because it gives us wacky toy collectors a lot of new collectibles to drool over, ha ha! Here are just a few examples of what to expect. Shown up above are a few action figures & a bat-vehicle made by Mattel. From what I have heard they are gonna go totally crazy making toys with this property & have plans to release a ton of new figures. The next photo is actually one of my favorites. It's a Batman Play-Set Costume that looks really great! I love how the cowl design sort of looks like the one worn by Adam West in the 1966 TV Show...very cool! The 1st wave of figures is expected around January 2009 but if they come out any earlier be sure to stay tuned with the Bat-Blog because we will report it here!
